U think switch will do better or worse then Wii u

I Am going to say worse switch looks like the same thing as Wii u seems like Nintendo has not learned from there mistake with Wii u

It's going to sell around the same. Idk anyone in real life who wants one, let alone even talk about it.

How could it possibly be worse? Because of the stupid name many "casuals" didn't even know that the Wii U was a new system.

About the same, but we shall see.

My prediction: better.

1. The Wii U sold terri-bad. So bad it may well be Nintendo's rock bottom. Anything would be an improvement from here.

2. The Switch will likely draw some of the 3DS audience as well, which sold very well.

Exactly how much better, though, is still up in the air.

It can't be worse than garbage tier, which is what the Wii U was. At the least, the Switch will sell in the beginning if the rumored $250 price tag is true.

I think the Switch will give the PS4 a run for its money. It might even cause Sony to go for PS5 before 2021

The Wii U was just an outdated console with a lack of support. Ofc gamers would go xbox or PS4 the Wii U offered nothing but a shit controller. Switch will do a lot better but Nintendo need to put out the games. And i don't mean Mario we need games like Metroid prime and F-Zero something fresh from the good days which they ain't brought out in a while. If its just a Mario copy and paste jobs im not going to buy the switch.

Better easily, no contest. At least it has an intelligent name that doesn't make it seem like an add-on and it seems like Nintendo actually hired a marketing team this time...

Nintendo could and probably will do something stupid. The price will be outrageous or some dumb move. Nintendo has a history of shooting itself in the foot. I would be pleasantly surprised if they did not. That being said with it's portable aspect it will easily destroy wiiu. Xbox one category in sales? Thats a whole nother story.

It will do better. Will it be better? Probably on par and not worth buying.

In all fairness, Charizard... mayaswell dismiss any Switch threads until Friday... EVERYTHING is rumour at the moment. Threads like these will be better suited when we see what they have to offer.

If the undocked deviced plays Skyrim-Remasted at a stable framerate though, I will be happy with that kind of power (presuming its at least high settings with toned down draw distances etc)... more than enough for such a device.

More or less the same. I really dont see the switch selling much outside of the rabbid Nintendo supporters that had already supported the WiiU

Even worse than Wii-U? Doubtful. Especially if it's $249. At that price alot of 3DS-type buyers would jump on board. Plus you have people like me that passed on Wii-U that were probably inclined to buy the next Nintendo console (I.e.. pent up demand). I'm massively disappointed in what the Switch is, but I could still see myself probably buying it just because I skipped Wii-U...and the Switch looks like it's going to have several of the meaningful Wii-U games. Plus while I"m not much of a handheld gamer, I enjoyed my 3DS enough that if I'm looking at the Switch as a "handheld" it could be ok.

Now if you ask me if the Switch alone will do worse than Wii-U + 3DS combined, I'd say yeah, probably.

After hitting rock bottom the only place to go is up. That's my optimistic side. My pessimistic side realizes this is Nintendo we are talking about and that company could screw up taking a fart.

That's the theory. I see no way it doesn't beat Wii-U, but it might not fully capture the 3DS audience. So it's possible Nintendo's decline continues even if the Switch does better than Wii-U. Remember, it actually has to do better than WIi-U + 3DS combined since it is apparently intended to replace both of them.

Significantly better. It will sell at least 30-40 million better then the WiiU at minimum.

Heaps better. Im tipping some solid sales numbers, hopefully around the 40 mil. In saying that though, I still want to wait for the full reveal before I get mega hyped

Hard to do worse than the WiiU.

I think it'll sell eons better than WiiU. And unlike the WiiU, The Switch is more centralized and more specific this time. No frills no BS. It's a gaming console that can either be portable or docked onto the system as a home console. That's it. All resources are centralized and consolidated as ONE. There are NO 2 platform versions of games, just ONE.

My guess is the Switch could quadruple the sales of WiiU in this generation.
