Thinking about Canceling my Uncharted 3 Pre-order For LOTR W.o.N

Yeah i know it's sounds crazy, and i already know all the stellar reviews Uncharted 3 is getting, but i've been watching tons of gameplay footage on Youtube of LOTR and i'm lovin' every video i see.

Truth be told it is one of my favorite genres, and i know i'll eventually get Uncharted 3, but i can't afford both and i already pre-paid for Uncharted 3, so i think i'll just switch it to the LOTR this tuesday.

Personally I wouldn't switch it's kinda a gamble. I say that because Uncharted 3 has gotten good scores from critics and users, where as LOTR has virtually nothing rated yet. Just do what you think is best.

Gameplay and the scripted events were great, but the story was garbage.

Don't really care much for that LOTR game though. Looks kinda mediocre tbh....

Hey whatever, you think what you want, i'm not going to bash Uncharted, but honestly i don't like playing online shooters and so after i beat Uncharted 3 in 20 hours or so then what, i won't play multiplayer because i don't like it, so i'll be stuck with a $65 game i don't wanna play again.

If i'm going to play a 20 hour campaign, i'd rather it be a genre i love enough to play over and over again...There's a reason i don't still have my Uncharted 1 & 2 games, because i beat the single player and i'm done, but i still have my Oblivion game from 5 years ago, and i just played it today.

I'm sure i'll play through LOTR a couple of dozen times too.

ahh.. why ask if you have already make up your mind about buying LOTR instead of Uncharted 3

If I was in your position I'd do that too. Snowblind is a fantastic studio and they've got resources from WB to work with. I have no doubts that LotR will be great.

Im not defending U3 because quite frankly i think these games are way over hyped. They are all short, and I wasnt impressed by the multiplayer in U3.

uncharted will not flop because it is so popular, and LOTR might flop. It all depends on how they make the game.

A 20 hour campaign would be incredible. It's probably around 6 - 8 hours though, yeah.

I never thought the Uncharted series was that good anyway, I'm waiting for Uncharted 3 to drop in price myself.

I agree with everyone else...bad bad move. Dont get me wrong, LOTR looks good (for a lotr game) but id wait for some reviews and hands on...It can be an 8-9 type of game or a 5, it wouldnt suprise me.

My problem with War in the North is just how "average" it looks overall - bland environments and uninspired combat, to name a few. I love Lord of the Rings, but this game reminds me of Conquest, and that's not a good thing.

If we can 'convince' you to get one the other then you werent really serious about either of them.

Hey TC ignore most of these folks. Do what you think is best and honestly don't get uncharted until it's $20 or something.. Its not worht 60 lol. I think it is a wise decision to cancel your pre-order and play LOTR because you seem very hungry for some rpg games.

EDIT: Actually seriously, no game this generation is worth 60 bucks..but i would wait a month before buying LOTR as most people are saying it will price drop soon.
