The, "Why hasn't any developer made this game" thread.

In this thread you can add games to wonder why Developers have not made sequels to many wanted games. I'll start off with my list and you can then add titles you feel should be made.

My list:

1. Killer Instinct 2: I normally don't like fighters, this one was great. Even making it as a xbox live download it would be awesome. I would even take a hd remake of the 1st one.

2. Goldeneye 007 (remake)- I remember the first time I played this, this game blew my mind. It's very ugly in todary's standard but it revolutioned not only how 3d shooters should be done, it also set a benchmark of multiplayer that we still use today.

3. Symphony of the Night 2: I would love to have a sequel of this game. Great 2D sidescrollers are always welcome.

4. Final Fantasy 7. FFX got a sequel. This had a great storyline

5. A classic Resident Evil game. I miss the old scary Resident Evil games. Resident Evil 1, 2, 3, and Code Veronica were Fantastic and scary games.

6. Star Fox. A Star Fox game inside a space craft and not the adventure games.

7. Twisted Metal- I have been waiting for a New Twisted Metal for years.

Thats my short list.

1. A Chrono sequel. Cross and Trigger were such awesome games - why SE is so keen of keeping Chrono grounded in memory is beyond me.

2. A PROPER Saga/Mana sequel - The World of Mana campaign games were mediocre. A current-gen game like Legend of Mana or Secret of Mana would be welcome. As for Saga, Romancing Saga remake and Unlimited Saga were just awful. A proper sequel to Saga Frontier 2, please.

3. Vagrant Story 2 - I've never played the first one, but my interest level is at an all time high and I'd like nothing more than to play a sequel. Oh, and SE, please release the first one on PSN for North America.

4. Ogre Battle - A current-gen sequel to Ogre Battle 64... I'd love such a game.

5. Lunar 3 - I've always loved the Lunar series. Game Arts has practically abandoned it, but I would love a sequel to Eternal Blue to crop up one day.

6. Alundra 3 - Alundra was a fine game, underrated and underappreciated in its time and even rivaled Zelda with more complex dungeons. I'd love a sequel and not the half-assed one we did get (Alundra 2).

7. Landstalker 2 - Not Ladystalker or Timestalker, Landstalker 2. If Sega were to revive, the consequences could be disasterous (like Golden Axe and Sonic) but if they were to hand it to a competent developer, a sequel would be awesome. Sega Wow is inconsistent, but who knows.

So ridiculous that Wii doesn't have a new Star Fox game, eh? It would be perfect for the Wii's controls.

I WANT A NEW BLOOD GAME DAMMIT! Maybe it doesn't belong here since the two Blood games weren't very popular, but I'd love a new one. Surely there's some demand for it? I also get the impression that Monolith like the franchise.

A new Carmageddon is in order, too. Seriously. That would sell insanely and the games are built for this gen.

Sonic Adventure 3, the first 2 were grat, why try to make terrible other 3D sonic games? Take the SA formula, make new levels, put it on PS3 and 360, instant-win, stop trying to put stupid-*** crap in Sonic. :|

Shenmue 3, use existing engine, have a story, have a fanbase, get to it.

Megaman Legends 3, like Sonic Adventure, it was two great 3D games in a series that 3D seemed like a terrible idea. It was Megaman creator's favorite megaman games, but they just can't get the funding to do another one. They had really fun gameplay and a decent plot.

Listen, EA, just make another ******* SSX game already. I just want a bigger, prettier version of SSX 3 anyway for craps sake.

And, for all that is good and holy, please don't use any of the new motion sensing **** **** coming from MS or Sony! You'll ruin it! I just want a fun snow boarding game with some techno/party music. I never think to listen to Paul Oakenfold, I just hear it when I'm playing SSX 3!

I'm going to go with a new republic commando. I would like to see those who rebel against order 66. And now Karen Traviss is not going to do any more Republic Commando books.

I am still wondering where in God's name my Dino Crisis 4 is!!!!

The first two games were great (in fact I had preferred them to the RE series). Yes the 3rd sucked but thats because they COMPLETELY went away from the original games.

The fact that the DC1 to DC2 transition is alot like the RE3 to RE4 transition makes it even worse.

-Opening movies both done in the exact same style

-Went from survival horror to more of an arcade shooter

-Introduced a store system

-The mercenaries game mode has a combo system JUST LIKE DC2!

-Introduced upgrading weapons and such

If they had gone and done the over-the-shoulder perspective change it would have been exactly the same transition. I swear with that last change DC4 would be absolutely amazing and could easily beat the RE series IMO.

Seriously, I am like ready to commit murder for a DC4. They left DC2 on SUCH A CLIFFHANGER!!!!

is it so much to ask for a FPS based in the warhammer 40K universe :(, as in one that isnt at all like Fire Warrior.

Banjo Theeie, Kameo 2 or Perfect Dark 2. What the hell is Rare doing? Making avatar clothes? And I would say Jade Empire 2 from Bioware, but they're pretty damn busy with Mass Effect and Dragon Age going on.

1. Baldur's Gate 3 or a classical Baldur's Gate game based on the forgotten realms universe

2. Might & Magic 10 - a spiritual successor to classical Might & Magic games previously developed by 3DO

3. X-com 4 - I'm not counting Enforcer and Interceptor. I want a classical X-com game like X-com 1, 2 & 3.
