- The game adds black bars during gameplay in all versions, which limits the horizontal rendering resolution.

- Series S has some cuts in vegetation, textures, tessellation, ambient occlusion, lighting effects and shadows.

- The PC version stands out for better (and very demanding) shadows. It can consume up to 25fps on High.

- The PS5 version does not have godrays.

- Loading times are quite fast on all platforms.

- Framerate on consoles is locked at 30FPS. Apparently there are some stuttering problems at specific times.

As noted God Rays are missing on the PS5 (that has to be an oversight)

Shadows are best on PC, similar on PS5&XSX, and slightly lower on the XSS

Consoles locked at 30fps... PC runs around 41-45 - his comments say there are stuttering problems at times, but does not show them in the video

Vegetation similar on PS5, XSX, and PC - Lower on XSS

I see 30fps, and i ask myself why is this still a thing mid 2022.

If there isn't an option for a lower res with higher fps then there should be

around 1800p /60 would be nice

I'd still advise people to stay away from the PC version:

• Doesn't include HDR, where consoles do seem to have it.
• No DLSS, eventhough it's a simple plugin
• No toggle for motion blur or depth of field

And the motion blur is quite bad in this game.

They are going for eye candy above all else

not being able to disable motion blur and depth of field should be illegal

DF's review explains that, it is a cinematic type game so above 30 is unnecessary

Just because the pc is winning doesn’t mean an automatic win for the Xbox. Since when have you heard of 2 different competitors winning 1st place outside of an tie?

The pc is the winner, with the xsx in a close 2nd, and the ps5 in a closer 3rd.

The real sin here is a $70 9th gen game and no Smart Delivery system so 8th/9th gen versions bundled together costs $80.

This is especially stupid because they didn't do that bullshit with the Dark Pictures Anthology, House of Ashes was Series S|X optimized they didn't create a second version.

For as long as I been here, and even since the start of Xbox porting over it’s exclusives to pc, I’ve never openly heard of the term “Microsoft Windows PC”. This is a term that is used by lems mostly to squeeze the MS in there because the MS badge is also on the Xbox and to get the Xbox done kind of glory, it must be known that both the Xbox and the pc is ran off of a MS platform. MS is definitely making bank, but my question is how is this helping Xbox to be successful now? The pc is very successful, but how does that correlate to the Xbox success?

True. But Microsoft is getting a cut for every Microsoft Windows PC sold for the Windows License. And we all know that cows build new Microsoft Windows PC rigs nearly every day (hence not needing an Xbox). That adds up for Microsoft in Windows licensing. 😎 And of course, the money for every Xbox Game Studios game sold on Microsoft Windows PC and Xbox goes to....you guessed it....Microsoft.
