The next Call of Duty WILL have a single player campaign

Good news? Bad news for you, SW? I wonder how many people like COD campaigns. I never finish them.

I don't understand why they can't get the balance right. Just put in a decent 5 hour campaign it's not rocket science.

And no one will play it...

Finish a level or two and look at the trophy/achievement percentages. COD gamers don't play the campaign. It's a huge waste of time and resources on the developers part

I really like COD campaigns and was said that it disappeared.

I don't care either way.

This isn't the Infinity Ward anymore that made classics like Call of Duty 1&2 or the original Modern Warfare.

the real infinity ward also ruined by EA (Respawn).

The development cost for that 5 hour campaign is 10 times the cost of the multiplayer modes, which is what the absolute majority of playtime goes into. Hope that helps you understand.

Both Titanfalls were made under EA.

Titanfall was respawn IP and they were just partners.

Now they are under EA.

Awesome to hear that. I always play through the single player campaign myself, at least twice to try and get all the achievements for that mode. I really enjoy the campaign stories and was pretty disappointed that Black Ops 4 didn’t have one. Having a single player campaign along with various multiplayer modes and a Zombies mode or some variant of that always gave the Call of Duty games great value in my opinion.

A 5 hour campaign that is really good would be welcomed. The last one I tried was Call of Duty Infinite Warfare. Don't remember why I stopped playing. Maybe because I didn't care about the characters?

metro exodus has 20 hour campaign. and also Doom Eternal in this fall going to destroy it by long shot. and it wont even be funny.

Campaign is the only reason I liked CoD.

I typically beat the campaign and play maybe an 1 hour of multiplayer before getting bored.

When B04 had no campaign, I had no reason to get it.

Yeah, I rarely got into Call of Duty for multiplayer. Black Ops I is the only one I'd say I got deep into. I did play WWII a decent amount, literally never touched the online of some of the other more recent ones. So of course that's why my opinion of Call of Duty has gone into the gutter. Mostly lost interest in multiplayer, and the campaigns became shorter and shorter missions built around increasingly preposterous setpieces.

For years I'd been calling for them to take the campaign back to to the basics and with more length...and indeed that's why WWII was sort of decent (still lacking, but decent). But with Black Ops 4 instead they delete it entirely. LOL. So there's basically nothing left. Have never really cared for Zombies either, it was a cool original idea, but again... they turned it into cartoon with insane monotonous"easter eggs to "solve" (or more like follow a guide because it seems like most of them are way too convoluted to just stumble upon naturally). No thanks.

I like Doom, but I don't think the last game had a good multiplayer if I recall. COD sells like gangbusters all the time. Not sure how much the last Doom sold.

with so many battle royale gaames out i dont think this game will sell well anymore, and cut the microtransactions in half too as well, since the BRs will eat them away

I'm done with CoD maybe activision shouldn't fire 800 people IM DONE WITH THEM they can play their own game and buy their own game with a single player campaign

The better question is who will buy the next Call of Duty...

If it's gonna be that sci-fi nonsense, I won't be buying it.

Their single player campaign games has always been good.
