The most overrated game ever?

What would you say is the most overrated game ever?

Id say Halo 3 , I just didnt like it at all!

MGS4. Played it at a friends house. Watching 10 minute long cutscenes then playing 5-10 minutes of actual gameplay then watching another 10+ minute long cutscene was painful

Overrated by whom ? Fans or media , or the combination of both ?

Gran Turismo 3. Easily the worst GT, though it's still ok.

FF7. Wow, this game was probably my least favorite FF, everything was just so expected, the characters weren't all that great and the character textures... god.

I bet everyone will say halo, but I say god of war. I never really found it interesting.

I'd say Halo. I'm not saying it's a bad game--it's actually a very good game. But it does not deserve all the attention it got. Besides the controls, I just don't see what that game did that was revolutionary. It just felt like a regular FPS to me. Not a terrible game, just an over-rated one.

No sure if its the mosr ever, but this gen Burout Paradise is the most overrated imo

It's a hard call but two game series stand out to me. Donkey Kong Country and Gran Turismo. Neither of these highly regarded game franchises deserve to be anything other than footnotes in gaming history. They are not good, original or exciting in anyway.RABicle

Yes becouse every sand box games needs to have drivable vehicles or then it sucks...Crackdown was Average at best, most people only bought that game for the Halo 3 beta.

Hundreds are going to pick Halo which is pretty redundent because those games have been beaten to deaht already so give the game a rest even if you don't like it.

Here are my overrated game picks:

BioShock is a dumbed down System Shock 2

Half-Life 2 is great but not THAT great.

Final Fantasy VII is a dumbed downed and animenized version of Final Fantasy VI but a very fine game.

Morrowind < Oblivion

Red Faction was awful and represents everything that doesn't work in a console FPS, at least Halo proved how a FPS can work on the console but Red Faction didn't in the slightest

Killzone 2 is very good but the Resistance series are far superior.

Goldeneye hasn't aged well.

Virtua Fighter 4 kick every 3D fighting games ass.

Call Of Duty4 or Halo2.

Oblivion was also the worst in the elderscrolls series and extremely overrated.
