good choice
having samurai showdown II, metal slug and sonic on the go did kick ass
I know, I was being entirely serious. It was kinda ugly though.Boy, SNK didn't do so hot with hardware did they? Most of the posters probably have no idea what we're talking about.
I honestly don't care enough about handhelds to name a best of all tme, but I'm certain it is a Nintendo handheld that deserves that spot.
GameGear's battery life was pathetic and it didn't have a great selection of games and I hate the PSP with a passion. It seems that most of its fans are people who like all the other Sony products.Â
I hate the PSP, because it strikes me as a wanna-be console experience. It doesn't offer a unique handheld experience like the DS does. It seems like a lazy idea supported with very good technology. "Oh. Let's just pack this thing with technology and give this thing kick ass graphics and people will eat it up."Â
Nintendo, on the other hand, seemed to say to themselves "How can we mess around with the possibilities of what can be done on a handheld? How can we make sure that the handheld experience remains unique even if we do upgrade the graphics somewhat?" This is why despite the lameness of the Wii and alot of lazy efforts, I still like Nintendo as a company better than Sony. Sony seems like a one-trick pony. Their answer is always multi-media/technology. Nintendo is atleast willing to try different approaches.Â
The PSP is all horsepower and really nothing else. As somebody else said, it's good for all the wrong reasons.
[QUOTE="MarloStanfield"]DS Lite. Perfect in every wayPinkyimpI used to think that the GBA SP was as good as it could get.. But the Lite beats is in every way and form. I want to play more DS games from this year than any other system, and next year looks even better
Gameboy Advance.
You can't top Golden Sun, Fire Emblem 7, and FFVI.

I will have to say GBA or one of its variations. It had a great game library, but knowing Nintendo, they can(and most probably will) milk any future handheld by releasing remakes, or re-releases of games from previous handhelds or consoles. That means old-school Final Fantasies for eternity!!!!!! 8)
I know it sounds very generic, but my favourite handheld is the DS. The only handheld I actually bothered buying games outside Pokemon for.
Eponique
this. all other hendhelds i bought for pokemans
This thread is somewhat old, isn't it?
I don't like handhelds, but I definitely respect the DS for its different approach. I would keep a DS if somebody gave one to me whereas I'd sell a PSP immediately for another PS3 game.
