I love to hide behind a big daddy when a splicer is shooting at me . Once the splicer hit the big daddy , I sit back ,and watch the rampage , without the need of using a Eve potion .Prid3r
The Bouncer daddies take too long to kill splicers! I genrally give him a helping hand with the Wrech :D

I love to take on bouncer because of their "rush" attack . I put like 6 trap arrow in line , shoot a bullet at him , and watch him go superman and die on the wall 50 feet behind me .
I haven't gotten that far in Bioshock yet, but two levels that immediately spring to mind are the cliff side from the first Half-Life, and the part in the first Half-Life where you first emerge from underground into the hangar, those were the two most challenging, nonmulti-player fire-fights I've ever experienced. I'd like to add, that I've never seen anything in a game (or in a movie for that matter) that blew me away like the first glimpse at Rapture after that film strip, the music, the voice acting, the graphics, and the design just all came together so perfectly.
Yeah...the game got me when I first entered the lighthouse and heard Django Reinhardt playing...just amazing.I haven't gotten that far in Bioshock yet, but two levels that immediately spring to mind are the cliff side from the first Half-Life, and the part in the first Half-Life where you first emerge from underground into the hangar, those were the two most challenging, nonmulti-player fire-fights I've ever experienced. Ravenholm and the introductory scene to Half-Life 2 were my favorites.
Wake up Mr. Freeman, wake up and smell the ashes...

I was hit with the awesome before the plane crashed. Everything after that was just as good.
My parents said I was special..... Son, youwill do great things.......
They were right.
Assault on the Control Room from Halo: Combat Evolved can't be beaten.bobby_king
Except by maybe other Halo:CE levels. Two Betrayals and Silent Cartographer are definitely equal to Assault on the Control Room imo. Halo2 had absolutely nothing memorable though and prettymuch just sucked.
I know halo2's campain is pretty bad but outskirts is amazing in every way.Lemmywinks_360
Quarantine Zone was heavenly.

No, Id actually agree that Assault on the Control Room is a really memorable level unlike Two Betrayals where it's simply Assault on the Control Room backwards and a more darker setting and also the Flood was on it. The Maw's final 5 minutes was also probably the most epic escape ive ever seen in an videogame.
Despite all that though...Fort Frolic was a blast to play on Bioshock so id go with that.
Either Arcadia or Fort Frolic in BioShock.RobbieH1234Indeed, both of those levels are fantastic. I HATED Arcadia: Go out and get me 7 Distilled waters, 7 things that look like chloroform, and 7 random objects. Me: Would you like me to also go kill 30 Rabid Thistlefur Bears? UUUUGH PAINFUL.
"We have got hostiles" and "surface tension" from half life.
'We have got hostiles' is my favourite because just when i thought, i would be praised for my bravery or something and finally get some support, the things turned so bad
'surface tension' because of so many great 3 way fights i had on that level.

Doom for it's time had mind blowing levels, the engine had cutting edge lighting and the variety of textures and colours was staggering for it's time, the level design in it's day was unparalleled.
They were incredibly atmospheric, scary and most importantly a blast to play. DOOM has aged poorly, but my god was it revolutionary step in the genre, so much in fact the term "Doom clone" was more popular than "First person shooter" when referring to the genre.
I remember Phobos Anomaly, the last level on the free shareware demo. Two Doors would slide to reveal two Baron's of Hell, a true jump out of your seat moment with a nasty twist at the end too. Tower of Babel has to be one of the best Boss levels I have ever played. In fact, every Doom level was amazing.
The fact I can remember this much about a game that was released in 1993, shows how remarkable the game and it's levels were.
I guess we can agree that Xen was by far the worst chapter in Half-Life 1. :)"We have got hostiles" and "surface tension" from half life.

I liked it :(
The D-Day mission in Allied Assault will always hold a special place in my memory.
But Fort Frolic was probably messed up enough for me to remember it for a long, long time.
My favorite part of Bioshock was right before you fight Doctor Steinman and he goes on his rant about how "they all turn out WRONG!" Me and my freind both uttered the words "Ho-lee crap" at the same time when we saw that.

*tries to remember how many times he died during the tedious jumping puzzles* Very frustrating indeed.i persoanlly like either the maw or assault on the control room from halo.
the maw, well the warthog ride at the end was just great
assault is really good because after you make it through the flood of covenant and your bloods pumping and you think your going to finally settle down when oyu get into the room, then cortana starts yelling at you and its like... NO REST MAN! and you go running out.

yeah it was not bad but still the worst and sometimes it felt quite annoying
I also loved when in Apollo Square...
you find Lot 192 in Suchong's lab and you listen to the audio log. Then you turn around and there he is on the table, with a Big Daddy drill stuck in his chest. Moral of the story - never harm a little sister.
The D-Day mission in Allied Assault will always hold a special place in my memory.

Yeah, you're probably right, the gun was cool but very overpowered. It was probably the easiest part of the game, a tad anti-climatic, considering how amazing the segments prior to that were.Funny, it isn't Surface Tension from half-Life so it fails.
But, Fort Frolic was my favorite level in Bioshock though.
Bioshock-Fort Frolic, Point Prometheus, and pretty much every other level.
Half-Life 2-Point Insertion, and pretty much every other level since it is the greatest game of all time IMO.
Halo- Halo (The level is called Halo). That level incorporates so many different things, if it were longer it could be the entire game.

Ah yes, The Maw. Quite possibly the greatest climax I've ever felt in a video game
