I don't usually make these types of threads but recently I have been really excited and I am looking forward to playing a bunch of awesome games in the future and enjoying the new xboxlive look!

Avatars:

Avatar Feature

Avatars are (yes, kind of like Miis) 3-d representations of yourself that can be implemented into games and are customizeable with different clothes etc. New info suggests that achievements may unlock things for your avatar! (eg: Beat gears of war, get a new gears themed shirt)

Community:

All of your online friends will now be represented by their avatars. In the community menu you can form parties of up to 8 players and have an 8 way conversation, watch movies together, jump directly into games together and share photos.

Primetime:

"Microsoft is banking heavily on its new Primetime feature, a brand-new area that gives users a whole new way to play games together. Virtual gameshows are the name of the game here. Microsoft has already demonstrated 1 vs. 100, a game of mental king of the hill against a hundred other opponents. Microsoft will introduce other gameshow-related games to Primetime. Some events will even feature live hosts and offer prizes to keep the gameshow charm. Primetime will let you either participate in the action as a competitor or play along silently as a spectator." ~Gamespot

Netflix partnership and video store expansion:

"Microsoft announced at E3 2008 that content from Netflix will be viewable via Xbox Live for Xbox Live Gold members. The deal allows users who subscribe to Netflix to watch movies and TV shows saved in their Netflix Instant Queue on their Xbox 360."

Rockband 2:

Sequel to ship with more than 80 songs; Harmonix says 500-plus songs available by year's end. Timed 360 exclusive.

RPG Heaven:

Square Enix announced that they are bringing three great franchises to the 360: Infinite Undiscovery, The last remnant and Star Ocean. On top of that they are throwing in FF13!!

All of those along with Tales of Vesperia, Mass Effect, Fable 2 and Lost Oddysey make the 360 the "go to" system for fans of RPGs.

I'm very excited about Netflix (as well as the games, of course). I don't have a Netflix account, but this may sway me to get one. Pretty cool.

Kind of made me shake my head watching the Sony press conference, hearing dude gush over being able to offer movies and TV shows when 360 users have had access to that for awhile now. Then again, I did the same thing when Microsoft gushed over avatars. I guess everyone "borrows".

You haven't been at System Wars for very long.

This is post did almost nothing to make me want to buy a 360. You guys do know that FFXIII is still being developed primarily for the PS3 right? People aren't going to be like "FFXIII is coming to the 360!! I gotta buy one!! The only game I'm really interested in is Gears of War 2 but it's not going to be epic enough to where I just have to have a 360. Then again I am a cow so what do I know lol.Jrfanfreak88

RROD fix was already announced (falcon chip), its just a matter of time until every console has it put in, and the issue is completely history. Blue-Ray addon is unlikely in my opinion. What makes you think it would happen? Any sources or proof?
