So a generic JRPG that can be found on the PS2 makes the PSP better than the DS? Asbolutely not. While the PSP has better control, online, hardware etc. one thing it doesn't have is better games, and that's the most important thing.toadster101

I don't think there's any ONE reason why one is better than the other. I enjoy both my PSP AND my DS for a number of reasons. I enjoy my PSP for some really great games (Castlevania: DXC, GoW: CoO, Lumines, etc..), watching movies, and having a browser. However, I enjoy my DS for some of the unique gaming experiences it has to offer. I like having 'point and click' style adventure games, and complex TBS games to take on the go.

Either way, I don't think you can really go wrong with either a PSP or a DS. And in the end, we, as gamers, win! :)

Yup, and I actually don't own a PSP, but I think it's awesome Cave Story is going somewhere, that guy deserves some money.

I do own a DS, however I'm left with nothing to play on it atm.

And Cave Story is a game that anyone can play for free on their PC. So I'm sorry your #1 reason for a PSP just became non-existence.

It all depends on your tastes which you think is better. I personally can't stand Nintendo franchises so it would only make sense I go with the other handheld and the psp has more srpgs than the ds which is my favorite genre on console..

Before that I was playing Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door, and the only reason I couldn't finish that game is because if the horribly irritating repetition you have to endure at the end.

I don't think I ever said I couldn't play kiddie games, I only said that WEWY is hardly a mature game.

Even Space Invaders Extreme looks so much better on PSP. DS has a bunch of Mario, and Handcramp(Guitar) Hero.

I just like the real games like God of War, Final Fantasy, MGS, Syphon Filter, Patapon etc...I mean seriously the "New" mario bros? What an Oxymoron. I just can't play another exact same version of Mario Kart without wanting to kill myself with the stylus.

actually the DS is the one place you would want easy to see brightly coloured graphics and games you can jump in and out off, its not kiddy its just a damed good handheld console.

As a PSP owner i have to say the handheld was stillborn, there are little to no games coming out as oposed to the DS that apears to be loved and cherished by the 3d partys

And it makes sense, if you think about theyr production costs in a DS game is many times cheaper to make and to get the good graphics out of the PSP they might aswell just develop the game for "the" console WII wich is market leader atm.

Any games that do get released for the PSP get pirated to hell and back minimising sales, since they made applying custom firmware so easy any 11 year old with internet acces can do it themselves
