Team Ninja screws PC gamers big time with Nioh: Complete Edition

Damn, no mouse support in this already brutally difficult game Ni Oh: Complete Edition which is releasing on 7 NOV 2017.

Guess PC gamers have to plug in console controllers to play this much awaited game on PC after all. no M support unless a future patch fixes this. Shame on you Team Ninja. Hope atleast its optimised.

I almost play exclusively with a 360 controller, besides I don't see how Nioh can benefit from M&K setup, its not an FPS or an RTS, the game is best played with a controller. What concerns me however is optimization.

I still can't believe people use a mouse and keyboard for these types of games anyway. I can understand for FPS and strategy games but third person action games? It's like playing super mario with mouse and keyboard to me. Granted, I've never played Nioh so I don't know.

People will say "oh you should be playing with a controller anyways nub nub", but it's not really an excuse.

there are some out there, a friend of mine played ds2/ds3 with mouse and keyboard while he played first one with pad, each for their own

I played SOULS games on PC with PS 3 controller. But many prefer k/m'd be my guess lol.

I'm OK with this. Can't really see this work well on mouse keyboard. And pretty much every PC gamer has a controller. In fact I have too many controllers so I could hand them out on the street in case a PC gamers needs one.

Team Ninja sucks with PC ports, I thought everyone knew that. PC version of DOA5 is terrible, the only thing that saves it is mods and the ability to play in 4K. It's inferior to the console versions in almost every way possible.

If the performance is bad I would have more of a problem with that, than a lack of keyboard mouse support. Here's hoping they learned a thing or two about PC ports.

Honestly I had no intentions of playing this game with mouse and keyboard. It looks like it would be more comfortable with a controller.

I think it's time to allow companies to make away with keyboard and mouse support that games that aren't really suited to them.

I mean for shooters or strategy games or top down rpgs, I fully expect good mouse and keyboard support. Good example, Destiny 2 feels amazing with a mouse. Bad example, Mass Effect Andromeda is atrocious with mouse and keyboard.

However for 3rd person action games, even if they support mouse and keyboard, they don't really work. I can live with controller only for games like Dark Souls especially if it's extra incentive for devs to do more PC ports.

Keep the keyboard for typing though, that's a no brainer.

You're thinking of DSM fix. DS fix just fixed all the glaring resolution and FPS problems that the consoles had to deal with.

Mouse and keyboard combo for a game designed for controllers. Makes not sense to me. As some PC elitist would say "It would be impossible to play with " mouse and keyboard, "its not designed for it".

I was expecting a bare-bones port, so it sounds about right. Apparently, it's sitting at 98% GPU usage at 1440p on a GTX1080.

No driving wheel support either! PC loses again.

The way you guys are reacting reminds me of the time that Evil Within's 30FPS lock shocked the PC gamers.(Which was pretty stupid)

Yeah but that 60fps with proper graphics instead of jaggies galore. The 60fps mode on PS4 was much appreciated, but the graphics quality looked like shit and still had some frame rate dips.

Plus this is a controller game through and through, just like Dark Souls. I'm still looking forward to it even though we all know the port will be substandard. Maybe we'll even get lucky and they'll fix it with updates or someone will mod it.

I have no interest in playing Nioh with a mouse and keyboard anyway. Controller only is perfectly fine for me. That being said, it is unfortunate for anybody who wanted to play it with M+KB.

If they released an FPS game on PC that only allowed me to use controller, then I would be pissed.

I thought the benefit of the PC was that you could tailor the experience to the game itself, the way it was designed to be played. I aint playin a console game with keyboard and mouse. To me it's a little bit like entertaining the idea of playing USF4 on my PC with a keyboard and mouse. If the game is designed around the controller, I'm playin with a controller.

I hate it when they release a console game on the PC with no controller support. Dumbest thing ever, and yeah, they actually sometimes do that. I mean... the level of dipshit...

I've been playing Shadow of War with M&K and it works fantastic. Same with Mass Effect and The Witcher series.

Controller is fine for 3rd person games, too. But M&K still has the accuracy advantage and works just as well.

Actually played all of dark souls 3 with keyboard/mouse, and it was pretty good. Especially since my monitor has a crosshair feature. Can sort of free aim spells at other players, which is near impossible on gamepad.
