Just drafted my review for some anal leakage.

Stay away from Sacred 3, if anyone was curious.

I could have told anyone that lol. :P

Guess I'll be sticking with 2 for another million years

Is that worth buying?

I don't or didn't notice any co-op options, though they could be there. The xbox had drop in and drop out, which that made it more interesting.
Otherwise the 500+ quests could be too much to do alone. But I got it for $5 on a sale, if you could do the same that would be great.

Playing nba 2k14 on the ps4 now, it looks good, probably at the level where the pc games should have been a long time ago.
I've got this and BF4. Will try BF4 later.

So is Golden Abyss worth playing? Does it handle pretty well on the Vita?

It's alright. Basically what you think an Uncharted game on a handheld would play like. The final boss QTE shit is terrible though.

My nba 2k14 actually just stopped working lol XD

That was my first and last nba 2k game, supposedly a lot of their games have so many issues and even stop working when the next 2k game comes out.

Meh. It's like the Phantom Hourglass of Uncharted- shoehorned with pointless gimmicks that bring down the overall experience too much for it to be worth a shit in my book.

@lostrib: It's worth playing. Like Char said, an absolute shitload of gimmicks. When you're exploring all around in catacombs or having fun battles with long guns, it's really good.

But the game simply doesn't feel like it gives you long guns or interesting situations enough. Too many gimmicky pistol situations.

Fire Emblem Awakening is honestly, quite disappointing.

On chapter 10, so clearly a bit early to say but so far... not impressed.

We both paid half and half. I came up with the ideal for a deal so that we could get the consoles and it would be easier for us to do so, since neither one of us can afford to shell out $400 at once for one. I pay half for this ps4, and he will pay half for the next. It made it easier that we got a deal and didn't have to spend as much. At first he didnt want to do it, because the first deal I made just involved us getting one console. He said no because... who would get it if one of us left? It was a good point. So the half and half on two was better. We have another deal for another ps4. It comes with 6 games and it's going to be $350. I'm going to be paying the bigger half, so it will be mine. He has no complaints with that. I figured he wouldn't.

We also plan to do the same with Xbox One. Half and half. He has no interest in a Wii U and I already have one.

best part of Fire Emblem Awakening is middle bits and main character.

Other than that, It's to dumped down FE game. Compared to the last FE game, Shadow Dragon. It also lack cool levels like inn Radient dawn where the game has secret spaces that reward me using a gamefaq with items that I need to upgrade my units and has levels that make cavalry completely useless.

FE: Awakenign just lost it bad game. game remove depth off character levelling. As there are no more OP XP hogs that I like using and random battle removes me form having me to last hit weak units for no logicel strategic reason. that added depth imho.

technoweirdo will impodes make reading this post.

It gets better, and mostly, it gets blander.

Like to say this is the revival of the series or the savior, like fine. But don't tell me this game couldn't have done as well if it included like a 1/4 of the missing options from even the game in your avatar.

And then people putting it in their top ten of all time is lol-worthy. I guess they're weirdos.

Awekening is too modern. Too many cutscenes, too much dialogue, characters that are way too anime-like, etc.

I also agree that Shadow Dragon was better, because it was more straightforward and let you enjoy the game more. Despite being over 20 years old, it's still fun.

Not everyone has the same threshold for patience, one game might be tolerable but others may just be too much. Granted, better characters and writing would make it a lot easier to enjoy as well, Fire Emblem GBA was good at this.

Awakening's cutscenes were too sparse. There was actually too little in the mid-portion of the game, making the presentation feel inconsistent. Awakening's modern touches was a good thing, with the exception of its Avatar logbook.

Okay. That has nothing to do with what I said - the games were always clearly inspired by anime. Whether or not they did a bad job at it is irrelevant.

I still maintain that the PS4 has no games and is still not worth purchasing right now, but there was a deal at Best Buy where you get TLoU and MLB 14 for $470. Needless to say, I finally bit the bullet and got myself one.

The streaming apps (Netflix, MLB.tv) is solid, NBA app actually works better than the iOS (wtf?). The OS is streamlined, though way too many tiles for my liking. I would recommend finding a spare keyboard if you want to have an easier time typing.

That said, I officially now have a PC+Wii U+3DS+PS4.

Sticking so closely to the anime tropes, such as moe girls always trying to gain acceptance from their 'sempai', it's annoying and boring. There's different degrees of obnoxiousness in anime, you can make games with great anime style without degrading itself to the usual tropes. It's obvious with the new art style they tried to appeal to the modern Japanese game market, whose shelves are inundated with games involving school-age romance and relationship sims.

I already imploded from Trails in the Sky: First Chapter's ending so HA!

For anyone interested (not really a spoiler): Without saying too much, the first arc ends on a very satisfying note while seamlessly bridging into a second, overlapping arc that'll be dealt with in Second Chapter. Takes a while for the first arc to even begin proper, but the game does a good job of introducing you to characters and plot elements that'll play a role in it over the course of Estelle and Joshua's journey to become full-fledged Bracers

Took me about 60 hours, but it's possible to beat in far, far less without missing much. 15-20 hours, I think, on a first playthrough. May be overestimating the amount of time killing everything on sight and the time I spent talking to every single non-essential NPC I met whenever the plot advanced a millimeter though. :P

Not everyone has the same threshold for patience, one game might be tolerable but others may just be too much. Granted, better characters and writing would make it a lot easier to enjoy as well, Fire Emblem GBA was good at this.

I'm sorry, what?

But to get back to the characters and writing, again, I'm sorry, what? Outside of their introductory chapters, characters in the FE series (who have always been trope-y) typically got next to nothing in terms in terms of screentime if their hair wasn't blue, weren't royalty, or a damn close friend of the ever-pure young lord whose small country was invaded by jackass dragon-riding imperials being manipulated by some other guy for eeeeeeeeviiiiiiiiiillll whose plans are foiled through the power of friendship strategic alliances. It's only when FE:A finally removed the support limit and integrated the supporting cast, perhaps not into the story but indeed everywhere else, that people finally saw how dull the typical MC of an FE game was. And apparently, rather than comment on how fucking awesome Owain's sword hand is (or Owain and the rest of the cast), people comment on stupid Chrom and the plot which, funnily enough, would've played out a bit closer to a typical FE were it not for a certain tactician.

Surely you can do better than that, Bubbles.

I don't like my games cutting out shit that used to be in previous games that don't need to be cut. Like I liked Fire Emblem Awakening a lot the first time, then played 7 and it felt like that was the sequel. I mean ****, I liked FE:A enough to buy it digitally but have no incentive on starting it again because the difficulty is shit. Hard is too easy, Lunatic is insanely hard.
