With shopping going in high mode, it seems the Nintendo Switch is the most wanted item this holiday season. Even though its old and outdated tech by now, it would appear that its still the item people crave for the most. And who could blame them, the Switch is just so fun and innovative, one couldn't ask for more.

This is about the UK, not Japan, right? If this is the case for Xbox's second largest market, especially the holiday season with Forza and Halo, it looks very rough, like the WiiU.

Lets be real here, the only reason the PS5 is not an easy #1 is because the people have lost hope trying to find one over the last 12 months. This is the reality we live in. The Switch being the #1 is just an artificial demand from people that lost all hope in finding what they really want to buy.

I don't think they really have to, other than in Japan. It's their best selling Xbox to date, and they have billions of Microsoft Windows PCs, iOS and Androids in user hands and homes.

We really didn't see that many scalpers when the Switch launch back in 2017...until now that is since Nintendo stated the Switch might be hard to find due to ship shortage.

I don't know how it is elsewhere, but in Canada the Switches are as easy to find as the yearly CoD.

Nobody WANTS scalping. No access to the common customer.

Items being scalped means that there's a high demand for said item. None of this applies to the Switch, and that ever since it came out in 2017. Its pretty clear to me that the PS5 and the X are both much better systems than the Switch because the scalping has been a thing for over a year. The new OLED just came out, and nobody cares. Its an inferior system not worth anyone's time.

Also, scalping is a scumbag tactic to take advantage of demand.

They're buying it because they can't get their hands on what they really want, the PS5 and the X. This has been clear to me for over a year. Not sure how is it that you're not seeing what's really happening.
