How's the knee Cherokee (lol, rhymed)?
It was the ACL wasn't it?
lundy86_4
Yeah. Been pretty much the same since surgery (5 days ago). About to take the bandage off, which will be nice because it's starting to get mad itchy and sweaty. D:
Lol, gross :P Hopefully all is good then. ACL surgery is never nice and easy.
No kidding. Have you had it before?I bough Rainbow Six Vegas 1 and 2 just now, playing through the first one.... man, this is one really awesome game! but I wish they cut out the whole solo missions, so frustrating. Do you still have those later in the game and in Vegas 2?? p.s. now I have every single Ubisoft Montreal game on PS3 (except for Far Cry 2 and Lost which I don't want), and I have to say, I really love these guys.funsohng
I heard the original games are a lot better than 1-2, I have only played 2 out of the series.

They are but it honestly depends on what kind of gamer you are. R6 vegas basically took out most of the tactical stuff in the earlier games.

My first FPS was Rainbow Six original on PC, and I remember saying "wtf I hate this what I am supposed to do" xD This is the first time I played a Rainbow Six game since then. I'm under the impression the old games are a lot harder and more demanding with team management, and you know me, I would love streamlined experience, so yeah, this is fine by me. And gunplay is surprisingly good, actually feels great, except you die with 2 shots and you can just use your teammates to get the bad guys our or do a diversion on them so you can just flank them from side or behind, which saves you a lot of ammo. This is like the only game I'm using 3-shot short burst mode. They are but it honestly depends on what kind of gamer you are. R6 vegas basically took out most of the tactical stuff in the earlier games.Espada12So is Vegas anything like Splinter Cell Conviction? Like is it somewhat tactical, but accessible if you're not really good at planning things out? I've been wanting a game like that since I finished Conviction.

Yeah, the tactical stuff is really limited but at least they kept multiple entry points for certain missions. In the older rainbow six you could have up to 16 people and there was pre-mission planning where you would basically map out what you wanted the other teams to do. You had to equip armour, camo, weaponry and equipment depending on the situation and the team's objective. You also had to designate which rooms to flash, or breach with charges and entry points as well.
For instance there's a snow mission where you have to get some hostage and eliminate all terrorist.
I had green team as recon, (sniper rifles, light armour, silenced weaponry) to take out patrols and scout around for the hostage location
Yellow and Red were the assault teams to get the hostages (Heavy armour, Medium weaponry, hearbeat sensor etc)
Gold team was the support (medium armour, heavy weaponry)
Yellow and red assaulted from two different areas, yellow went through the basement and red went through a side window of a house after green had dispatched all the patrols and lookouts already and were basically in support with gold.
That was a simple version of it, this thing was pretty damn complicated when you were sitting and doing it.
Honestly, if someone mis-fires on your team or you don't equip everyone properly or everyone isn't coordinated properly, you could alert the terrorist and the team can be killed, the game was really insane, btw, if you got an operative killed inside of incap, you lost him.

damn, that looks awfully interesting, but at the same time too complicated for me. Looks like Ubisoft is going for more streamlined experiences nowadays, and I can't blame them, there are tons of gamers like me. But I am interested in what you are talking about, could you recommend me some old ones too? Hopefully not too old though xP Oh and just for the heck of it I started Vegas 2 as well, and damn, it's already better than the first one, but I'm having a feeling that it's even more streamlined.damn, that looks awfully interesting, but at the same time too complicated for me. [QUOTE="thom_maytees"]Famitsu is unreliable especially when it comes to Square Enix games.I am quite surprised that Famitsu gave the game a 36, as I expected that since it is a Square-Enix game that is hyped it would scored higher and with more 10s and 9s.This week's issue of Famitsu scored The 3rd Birthday and gave it 10, 9, 8 and 9 scores (36/40).

No man, it's completely revolutionary. It takes the simple strategy of dropping the rock from the first game and turns it on its head. Plus it completely owns QIX at its own game.
GS loves underdogs, and DD2 is the ultimate underdog because it didn't come out this year. Confirmed GOTY IMO
do these guys sell Art Books? Play-Asia doesn't have Atelier Rorona & Totori Art BookThere are currently some good deals on AmiAmi for fellow importers, 8-19% off for most video games, 10-30% for most mecha, 5%-30% off for most Bishoujo figurines, etc.
