Super Mario Galaxy is your 2007 GOTY

Well there you have it people. Once again a Nintendo console has taken the GS GOTY award.

This year and in the Wii's first year they've gone ahead and secured another GOTY title in Super Mario Galaxy. I mean hey Nintendo consoles may not have been the best over the years but they always have that one game worth owning each year and quite frankly at a price of $250 I don't see how anyone who has moderate interest in Mario can't want Super Mario Galaxy.

So with all the competition and good games out including....

1. Assassin's Creed
2. Bioshock
3. The Orange Box
4. CoD4
5. Uncharted
6. UT3
7. Crysis

Nintendo once again comes out on top with another GOTY title. So now, there is only one question left....

SMG definitely deserves it. It's one of the best games to come out in a long time and it was clearly the best of the best this year.

I would have liked Mass Effect to win, but I knew it wouldn't. SMG is a great game, a saving grace for the Wii (not it's sales obviously, more for it's library).

I think this is a given.. Halo maybe a good game to some and great to others.. But the simple fact remains that its not head and shoulders above the crowd and has not done anythign new. Its a good game but certainly not the best in either the FPS genre or overall.

from the 2 games in his profile it looks like he's a pc gamer. so yes i would assume he would want a FPS shooter to win. honestly onyl the really really good FPS are playable in my mind. usually though even then i still buy em and then they just sit there. SMG is easily the best game i've played this year and deffinatly the most original

Odis Sphere was great but the slowdown durring some of the boss fights really sucked.
