Oh it was pulled! Seems like it was a leak! Was probably a bomb from TGA or PSX (likely PSX). So I suppose we'll have to wait and see if it's really a worldwide thing or not.

I mean, if this does get announced at either event, considering they are both WW events, we can scrap the "for Japan only" part. Wouldn't make sense to announce something like that WW I think.

Yeah, probably ps4 exclusive in Japan. Not coming to xb1 would be pretty weird.

Why is this so amazing? Microsoft has Killer Instinct, I don't think they really care about not having SF5 on Xbox One, this way KI get's more sales, which is better for Microsoft. Because it will run on PC, I'm pretty sure Microsoft just said: "No thank you"

That's the issue. Takign TB away was bullshit, but if Sony did remove SF from the xbone, MS might not sit there and take other fighting games liek MKX or Tekken 7 away from the playstation. Or maybe other games from otehr genres.

Considering this is news coming out of Japan I'm gonna assume that it's not coming to X1 only in Japan until I get definitive confirmation otherwise. After all, it makes sense to make it exclusive to PS4 in Japan since nobody buys X1 there anyway. But if it does turn out that there won't be SF5 on X1 anywhere that is some big news indeed.

Funny thing is if it truly is exclusive to PS4 then that console just got like 5 exclusives all in one announcement cuz ya know that Capcom will re-release the game nearly half a dozen times. :)

no they wont. they have killer instinct. the reason they took tomb raider is because they dont have nothing to counter a adventure/platforming game like uncharted 4 next year

Crap I love Street Fighter but getting a PS4 for this game means I have to fork down some more dough for another arcade stick, that is too much. I'm open to getting a PS4 in the future if there are enough games I want for it. But for this game, I hope it's a timed exclusive or something. We probably won't see this game for a long time, last I heard they were early in development for SF5 and it takes them years to finish a SF game. Oh well, will se how this develops, it would be nice to get screenshots or videos , didn't get a chance to see that video it's offline now I think

i really hope this wasnt capcom big announcement becauese **** fighting games. anyway for sony this is HUGE because street fighter is still the king of evo, essential they are forcing all hardcore evo players to buy ps4. great tactic

A clear reference to FF7. Could it be true? Rumours are that we'd get 4 "Megatons" at PSX. SF5 was apparently one of those.

Timed exclusive? Because Capcom would be missing out on A LOT of milkage otherwise. Seriously how much would it cost to ask someone not to release a game like this on another popular console?

Anyway, I'm cool, will get it for the PC YEARS later. Too many SF4 versions, not going through that again. I just feel like I spent way too much on one fucking game. Then there's the DLC for each version.

well considering how close ps4/x1/pc are in terms of ease of porting im guessing sony allowed capcom to self publish the pc title in exchange of lower price of console exclusivity. sf5 being on pc isnt going to hurt them, vast majority of the sales will come from consoles.

That was a cool video but wasn't that all SF IV footage? Either way this is a good get for Sony. Actually its pretty huge.

The real question is will people on this board complain about Sony throwing money at Capcom like they did Microsoft and Tomb Raider?

I've seen some people claim that Ono (the SF director) mentioned he didn't have a budget to make another SF for the time being, last year.

Some are already speculating Sony helped pay for it, but I can't find anything (neither his claim nor any hints Sony may have a financial "hand" in the project), so take it with a pretty big bag of salt :P

Yeah but even MS doesn't have enough money to make a game more than timed exclusive. Capcom doesn't benefit from this only Sony. I think @ghostwarrior786 was right, Sony must have financially helped, but then how is it getting a PC release as well.

Sony wouldn't give money to Capcom to make a game with an IP they don't own. Especially a game that could end up on the Xbone a few months or years later down the road, that's just not how they roll. And not to mention their current financial state too.

Nope, there's actually a bit of gameplay in there :) The Chun and Ryu pics in this thread are from the trailer and they're actually pretty different to their SF4 counterparts.

As I've stated before, SW fun aside, it'll be a dick move if true. And so far it looks to be true....

so u are suggesting capcom isnt releasing x1 version because they cant affort dev cost? either sony paid for it or capcom cant fund x1 version and i highly doubt its the latter
