Its still a single game split up into three parts. Its called StarCraft II... not StarCraft II, III and IV.
There is no way each section is 50 dollars each. I'm guessing first one is 50, then the next are like expansion pack prices.

This is Activision we are talking about. If anything, they'll be $60 a piece. Just look at the Guitar Hero series... every single release is $60 and they are all just new song lists. Plus, they are designing them to be "full" games in three releases. They are splitting up the campaign into three parts and giving a "whole games worth" of missions for each race.
I want StarCraft II with all three campaigns to come in one package for $50. I don't want to pay $150 for a single game even if it has three games' worth of stuff in it. I'll be the judge of what constitutes a "whole" game... and for me, its a complete story like the one in the original StarCraft and subsequently Brood War.

Blizzard are nothing short of Mangods. The game will run flawlessly on a 386 desktop and probably define the RTS genre for years to come. The first one is still a religion in some parts of the world, and rightfully so.

Don't need a link. The first game will retail for $50, that is the standard price for PC games. Then the subsequent releases, which according to Blizzard are "more than expansion packs," will be priced like the first and will most likely require the previous versions to work. And really, do you think they will charge $16.67 for each release?
I'm patient. I've been waiting this long already, what is another year or two? I'd rather wait and get a full, complete game in a couple years for $50 than three pieces of a whole game over the course of three years for $150. Its mostly the principal of it... Activision knows that they can milk the game as much as they want and people who are gullible enough will spend all the money they can to get their hands on the "sequel to the most competitive video game ever played." I for one will not follow along with their scheme and not support something that will ultimately kill the industry.
And to be honest, I much preferred Age of Empires II.

We all know each is coming with more content that most 50 dollar games, what is you beef with it? When has blizzard skimped on quality?

Ther is some pretty serious **** here.
For one you have no way at all of knowing the pricing of each game...it has been constantly said that the 2 future updated are essencially expansion packs and will not be full priced.
Second, I dont understand why you keep saying they are charging $150 for a single game, when they are clearly not. Its been said multiple times that each campaign is a full sized game in its size.
Third, when has Blizzard ever skimped on Quantity or Quality?

So it doesn't matter that each SCII game will have the content of the entire 1st game? Blizzard should do over 3 times the work and charge us as if it wasn't 3x the content? How about you go work and work 3 times as long as your co-workers and get paid the same as them....
Ah ... cool, it with be so good if ti comes out this year. the only thing that is better that things will not end with the release , but we will keep getting two more amazing games with full campaigns the following years :D
