Will anyone purchase the next MS system knowing MS poor record of quality?

Did anyone buy the PS3 when the PS1 and PS2 were of poor quality?
Microsoft won't make the same mistake again--taking a 1 billion hit for a mistake. I can assure you that Microsoft will make sure the next system will be the most reliable.
Also, the Xbox was a reliable system. Only the Xbox 360 is unreliable (even though I have a perfect launch Xbox 360).
I agree with the guy above in the MS will make sure there there is no hardware issue this time around. A hardware failure along the lines of RROD at the start of the next gen would be a HUGE mistake from a marketing perspective. I am sure that if you were to look at MS checklist of features for next xbox 360 you would see reliability as #1.
I just buy any console based on the games, not really anything else. I've had my 360 for a year now, its fine.
So yeah, I wouldn't mind buying another Microsoft console.

Far as i remember, the PS1 and 2 weren't completely flawless either;)
With the billion dollar hit they took, they won't do it again. After all, this is Microsoft we're talking about. I highly doubt they'd want to loose that much money again knowing they could have it earned.

I would hope they would learn from the 360, as their terrible hardware is the only big complaint I have of the console.

And my point still stands--Microsoft won't make the mistake again, unless they feel like wasting over a billion dollars again.More importantly, will they keep the 3 year warranty? I seriously doubt it.

There won't be a need for a three year warranty if the console is reliable. That my friend would be a luxury--the industry standard 1 year would be suffice.
Okay...So, did they finally fix windows? What version is currently out? That's not the same company is it? :shock:I agree with the guy above in the MS will make sure there there is no hardware issue this time around. I went through two ps2's that both fell to the "disc read error"..and many of my friends lost AT LEAST 1 ps2 to the same. It happens.

Whats wrong with wondows 7?
Yep. Because I think that they will get it right this time. If not, then it's my loss and I move on to another console.

I don't know; Haven't used it yet...It was the previous windows I was addressing. Maybe the 7th xbox will finally be fixed:lol:. Anyway, it seems MS has a habit of releasing products not ready for market. I wouldn't bet on the next xbox being trouble free.I know what he means by "poor quality". Why would they keep a 3yr warranty for new hardware that has yet to show it has the same issues? :?
My family never supports a company that puts out a poor quality product. When a company does this, you know that there's no sound business structure in place. You know that communication is poor, you know that there is little care for the customer and that it's all about making as much money as possible as the first priority. You know that the employees don't take pride in their work and you know that the work environment is less than professional and ideal.
No, there will be none of that. If you can't run a company properly you deserve to fail. You take care of your customers first and foremost. Those customers are what's putting bread of your table, take care of them and they will take care of you. Provide a proper working environment for your employees and they will take great pride in their work and will take care of the company. Anything less is unacceptable.
So no, I will never support Microsoft unless they greatly improve on their business practices.

The hardware for Xbox wasn't bad.
Bad hardware didn't stop people buying the PS3, why would it stop me buying the next Xbox?

Then Sony has one as well since the PS2 had issues. I never had a problem with my original xbox. PS2 I had DRE twice. At least MS covered my issues this gen, Sony had to be taken to court to own up.

Why? The first Xbox was a solid reliable machine, opposite of the 360. I don't see why we're going to codemn them for having one good and one bad hardware run in consoles.
The XBOX was not reliable.(I personally went through two of them the famous "This Disc is DIRTY OR DAMAGED defect")
The 360 was just 10 times worse...it made the XBOX seem reliable.
That being said, I will buy one, but I hope they get it right.
SolidTy
The original Xbox was much more reliable than the PS2 (or PSX for that matter). Sure there were cases, the saem can be said for any console. The PS2 made the Xbox seem reliable btw.

I wont, seeing is that my 360 got RROD 3 times.
If next gen they manage to fix their faulty hardware then yea i will buy it.
And for me they need to get more exclusives
I dont know why people say PS1 and PS2 were unreliable I have a fat PS1 since 1996 and a fat PS2 since 2000 and both of them are still working without any problems, anyway about topic no I wont repeat the same mistake again I wont buy the console at launch I will wait for about 6 months to 1 year if it proves that its reliable then I will buy it I dont want to repeat the nightmares of this generation (4 RRoDs) ==;.

Microsoft's performance these past 5 years has been deplorable, an absolute disaster in company management. Let them shrink and let's allow new better run companies to compete. The products and services we receive will improve. Buying a Microsoft product is a step in the wrong direction.
