Just saw this and all sounds great with a solid 8.0. I'm getting but may wait until Christmas.

"Aside from exploration and battles, South Park is loaded with environmental puzzles that--while hardly brain teasing--can elicit more than a giggle depending on how a hurdle is overcome. The most challenging obstacles are surmounted by your legendary farting abilities and select friends you can call in for an immediate assist. By combining your flatulence with the flight ability of Human Kite (aka Kyle's superhero persona), you can reach higher, previously inaccessible areas. Toilet humor transcends to depravity when you fire Butters' rodent out of your butt, launching it to reach and sabotage open electrical panels. While The Stick of Truth had its share of gassy gags, this sequel doubles down on farting as an essential multipurpose game mechanic, powerful enough to bend space and time at your whim. Not only does it prove useful in solving puzzles, it's also invaluable in preventing enemies from using their turn in battle.

Much like The Stick of Truth, The Fractured But Whole can be appreciated as a standalone adventure, accessible to those who've fallen off the TV series over a decade ago. Fans who have kept up will appreciate the handful of recent call backs to the show plus at least one timely spoof that creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone previous said they would not tackle. And if there's one aspect of the show that hasn't changed in its 20-plus years, it is the endearing qualities of the kids' reality-breaking imaginations. This is best exemplified in the classic pronouncement that the floor is lava, which is represented by initially impassible red building blocks strewn throughout the town.

Fractured But Whole succeeds as an interactive South Park mini-series, while effectively emulating the show's current style of adult-targeted entertainment and satirization of political correctness. In other words, it's consistently amusing and provocative without the edginess the series used to be known for. Both the game's combat and explorative strengths effectively bridge the many comical plot developments, which range from mildly amusing to downright hilarious. It's an accomplishment that this game will wholly entertain devoted fans while delivering a heap of jokes that won't fly over the heads of casual viewers."

I loved the first one, I'm really looking forward to it. But I also really want to finish Persona 5, finish Tales of Berseria and start Original Sin 2. Just too many great games and not enough time to play them all :(

Probably not. The gameplay is a bit shallow looking, and the humor seems a bit worse than the first game. And the humor would be the only reason I'd play it. So I'll probably pass.

If I can maintain self control and not pick this up right away, I'd like to wait until holiday sales in a few weeks, just way too much to get this month, and I still have some backlist to work on, better just to wait. Besides, I still haven't finished the first game, I should work on that in the coming weeks.

Yes, I would have bought it the second the game unlocked, but have to wait until I'm paid on Friday

@pinkanimal: if you have yet to play first, a current gen version is bundled with pre-orders on XB1 and PS4 (no clue about PC), I'm hoping that deal extends once the new game releases.

I'll pick it up for $5 like I did the first game. I have more than enough to play at the moment. Only day one games left this year are Super Mario Odyssey and Xenoblade Chronicles 2.

It does sound like there's lots of fun to be had in this lighthearted but well done RPG and that's kind of my style these days.

Surprising I never went through the first one, and I think the series is the funniest thing out there.

Stick of Truth was great, a little concerned about this one, heard it's not as funny from reviews.

I'll be waiting until it's $20. Whether that's Black Friday or in a year or whenever!

Not done with the first game yet, it's pretty cool and a great RPG but I'll be honest I'm not a huge South Park fan. However despite that I felt the first game was very good from what I played so far. Don't think I'll get this sequel soon but maybe next year on sale.

Yep, picked it up earlier today. Also got Stick of Truth along with it. Haven't started it yet, trying to decided if I should replay SoT first, or just jump right into TFBW

Only when it goes on a very big sale on steam. (Next summer maybe?) I kinda like these games. (Key word is kinda)

Got the Coon Mobile Edition in the mail today. A few hours in. Loving it.

Got the first one via backwards compatible for 7 bucks a few months ago, great game if you like South Park

It's too hard to rate something in humor, especially since most people have a different sense of humor. So with that, I'm gonna ignore the "not as funny as the first" rumor. I'm still waiting on my copy to come through the mail.

I really want it but the review went south(no pun intended) when they said the game only takes 15-20 hours to beat. I can't spend new game prices on that; it's just not a worthwhile purchase imho. Same reason I didn't drop $40 on Uncharted: Lost Legacy as soon as it came out. Just not enough content.

Looks great but I don't want to deal with uPlay... so I'll pass.

I don't really care for South park

I had this pre-ordered since they announced it last year at E3. Came in the mail yesterday. Downloaded the free Stick of Truth that came with it. Now it's just a matter of finding the time play it.

Absolutely. I loved Stick of Truth.

Same. I love the show. Have all 21 seasons (Looking forward to the latest episode this week). Love the series and can't get enough South Park.

I want it but can’t afford. I have 100 games on my shelf waiting to be playing.

No more buying games until next year after I killed a signifiicant chunk of my backlog.

My policy is to finish my backlog before purchasing games. Because the games I want will become cheaper over time. If I buy it on release, I'm likely to pay top dollar.

Eventually... I still want to try Stick of Truth. Maybe some weekend I'll power through them.
