i already got bravia and vaoi so im set :D But isn't that functionality specific to these new "one touch" products? Would older products also work with it? a simple update could fix it all if not looks like its time ....

Sony smartphones have actually been brilliant since they rebranded themselves as just Sony I was thinking of that crappy "smart phone" they made with the gamepad. No, Sony rebranded itself from Sony Ericsson to just Sony, and withdrew from the US market largely. It is now one of the largest sellers of smartphones in Europe and Asia, and its phones are genuinely very good, billed as some of the top tier Android phones. Not Samsung Galaxy level, of course, but great phones nonetheless.

I can only speak on phones I've had experience with. The Xperia play, and the Phone and Tablet they released in the summer for ATT were trash.
