What the **** is this crap?
while I personally am excited for the PS Vita
Can i PLEASE meet the head of Sony entertainment marketing so i can beat them with a two by four?! (not gonna actually do it....)
seriously the WORST sort of advertising they can do. it's like PS3 all over again.....
LMAO. Is this real? Man, you can tell from the ad what kind of financial situation Sony is in.EponiqueIt is from the Official Playstation Vita Youtube Page.
Do people really have to be spoon-fed to buy a PS Vita? People can't do simple research and/or go to the store and try it out? The system is more than worth it and the PS Vita will have so many good games coming out in the next few months. Let's not forget the 400+ PSP games that's available for the Vita right now so there are games to play.
If I had to make a 6 second Vita ad I would make an incredible montage of the device's capabilities that will blow people's minds.
it's called advertising man. you and i are in the 'know' but the general public is not. that is the sole purpose of advertising. It's not towards us but to everyone else. the fact that this ad doesn't even show the Vita, but rather talks about how 'my experience is different from yours' and leaves it at that is idiotic. They didn't even bother showing a game or a montage of games or what you can do with it. Nintendo 3DS at least tries to make everything 'pop' and show games on it. Sony didn't even bother doing that... their advertising is 'too smart' if you understand what i mean. ONLY the people who already know what a Vita is will understand that ad. Everyone else is left confused.Do people really have to be spoon-fed to buy a PS Vita? People can't do simple research and/or go to the store and try it out? She was putting on boxing gloves. :?[QUOTE="waltefmoney"]
Remove the Vita logo at the end and you've got a commercial for nail polish.

Exactly. :|

Never seen a nail polish commercial with boxing gloves, but ok.

It shows how quickly it dries. It's brilliant.

I'm not marketing person, didn't do the courses for that stuff, but i'm willing to actually bet that MOST people who see this ad will not look up what the hell Sony was just advertising. There really shouldn't be any of these kinds of games in advertising, just show the damn product.Do people really have to be spoon-fed to buy a PS Vita? You basta..
I have a good memory, okay? That's it.
A five second clip doesn't give us much context. It could be brilliant, for all we know.
The_Capitalist
Right....a six second clip of a girl getting her nails done and saying that her world is not the same as ours and then people suddenly cheer.
TEH BRILLIANCE IS MESMERIZING! :o
Sony just needs to do what this guy is doing, and do it over and over and over again.

I'm serious, they need to quit trying to be creative, cute and fancy.
They need a commercial showing up the Vita up close and at different angles, explain how it is the first handheld with 2 joysticks, show off the graphics, front and rear touch pad, and just show in clear detail what the system is, what it does and what it is capable of.
Sony's marketing team tries too hard. Instead of viral marketing they end up with failblog videos. I think we all remember this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0G0LlXv-nyIActionRemix
