Sony just unveiled a new mixed reality headset.

It's aimed at professional 3d artists and content creators. Rivals the Apple Pro. Micro OLED, with a flip design. 4k per eye.

"The mixed reality headset, with a flip-up visor and a couple of wearable input tools, is focused on content creators and professionals. The hardware, coming later in 2024, uses Qualcomm's new Snapdragon XR2 Plus Gen 2 chip. The headset also features Sony's own micro-OLED displays, which have an impressive 4K resolution per eye."

Err I don't know. 3D designers might find this a little heavy on the head. What we really need is Glasses that can do 3D design display.

With these new mixed reality goggles... Do the cows see games on the horizon? Or do we have to wait for the alternate reality goggles for that? :-S

looks interesting, but question is the price. They say its targetted for business and creatives, so its probably not that cheap, but I don't see it being as expensive as the iphone goggles or whatever apple is calling theirs.

VR is doing poorly, so let's double down...

Looks like productivity. Seems like most "AR" is for productivity or art or whatever and VR seems like for both, but mostly gaming.

The support would be as good as PSVR/2.😂

I guess I have to explain to Davilan as if he's a 1-year-old. Tech starts off bulk and heavy, and over time becomes slim and light.
