- Unreal Engine 4
- Frostbite 3

- Luminous
- Panta Rhei
That are officially not supporting the Wii U.
Adding to that list, will very likely also be........

buy wii u for nintendo games and u be fine.
otherwise, the upcoming lack of multiplatform support for wii u does suck for gamers depending on wii u, but didn't they learn anything from history or at least when wii u specs released? its not competitive for next gen, it's competitive for 360/ps3 gen.
better thread btw than your typical trolling thread.
I still find it odd that DICE refuses to support Wii-U with FB3, but Criterion put FB2 on it. Did we ever get any confirmation for the platforms Luminous and Panty Raid will support?
Source 2.0 will be on Wii-U. Valve ain't that dumb.

That's their fault for not doing research. Nintendo's last 4 home consoles barely got any 3rd party support. If you buy a Wii U hoping for multiplats you are doing it wrong.Really? I don't think so, no. Most people who bought a Wii also bought an Xbox to play FIFA and Call of Duty, I think they know very well that a Nintendo console doesn't get non Nintendo games, and when it does, they are so thoroughly gimped that it doesn't even matter.[QUOTE="StrongBlackVine"][QUOTE="charizard1605"] Because Nintendo makes the best games in the industry, and they can only be found on Nintendo hardware.charizard1605

The pain of what, and for whom, and what are you talking about, and what does that have to do with what I am saying?Do you think the people that run Nintendo are content happy with the lack of 3rd party support. That will leave huge between worthwhile releases. Every on system can be self-contained and give a good experience. Nintendo is strictly a companion console at this point.

The N64 got lots of exclusive western third party support, while the Gamecube did relatively well for itself on the third party support front (especially with multiplats). The Wii was the first time the issue developed to such a chronic degree. The pain of what, and for whom, and what are you talking about, and what does that have to do with what I am saying?[QUOTE="charizard1605"][QUOTE="StrongBlackVine"]

I think Nintendo is more worried with its bottom line. It sells millions of consoles and millions of software, and it does not have to split the revenue on that software with any other company. Nintendo has had the most profitable gaming business since the NES era. Even in the Gamecube era, they earned more money overall than Sony did with the PS2, did you know that? Now of course, I am sure Nintendo would love to make the default, primary, go to console for everybody, and get that excessive third party revenue too (and certainly for me as a consumer, it would be much better if I only had to buy a Nintendo, instead of a Nintendo and a second console for third party games), but if they want that, they need to make a console that third parties can get behind. The pain of what, and for whom, and what are you talking about, and what does that have to do with what I am saying?[QUOTE="charizard1605"][QUOTE="StrongBlackVine"]

Nintendo wanted 3rd party support but publishers wont give it to them. It is now up to them to support their own system just like every other gen before the Wii U. This puts a lot of pressure on them and in my opinion because of it, we will have even more and much better 1st party titles.[QUOTE="RyanShazam"][QUOTE="StrongBlackVine"]That's their fault for not doing research. Maybe, but if you care about games, there is also the fact that Nintendo has the strongest, deepest portfolio of games and IPs of any publisher, and more importantly, they make the best games on the market. If you care about games, then you probably cannot go without a Nintendo console as a 'companion console' as you so rightly put it any generation.Even sheep view Nintendo console as 3rd string systems. Pull it out of the closet, blow the dust off, put in a sequel to that familiar mascot series, play it and pack it back up until the next nintendo releases 4-6 months later. Is it any wonder why they get so riled up when one of their games flops? The wait makes a flop so much more unbearable. Might even cause some to write death threats to those reviewers.;)

You essentially disprove the punchline of your own joke within the post itself, good going. Also, sheep don't even react badly to their games flopping, not as badly as cows have been doing lately anyway. The reaction to the Skyward Sword flop wasn't even half as bad as the inFamous 2 or GT5 debacle.Even sheep view Nintendo console as 3rd string systems. Hope the Wii U sales don't pick up because if they do you will see these devs doing anything to get their engines to run on the system.

Bayonetta and Lego City are both published by Nintendo, yo, so no clue why you listed those. Those are Nintendo funded, Nintendo published titles, and in the case of Bayonetta 2, Nintendo even owns a lot of the code of the game, and co-developed it. I don't think any sheep will deny exclusive third party Wii U games, especially when they are produced in collaboration with Nintendo, but then the point will still stand: those games are only found on Nintendo hardware, you can't play them anywhere else. Those games exist because of Nintendo's hardware, and the way it is, and because of Nintendo's backing. As for me personally, when have you ever seen me list any third party game for the Wii U, ever? Hell, I say the only game that remotely interests me on the platform (and might even convince me to buy it) is Wind Waker Reborn, which is, again, first party.[QUOTE="RyanShazam"][QUOTE="StrongBlackVine"]Why would we sit here and clown the Wii U for not having multiplats if we bought it for 1st party titles? Why is anyone surprised?
Wii was close to Xbox power and didn't get the next gen engines, Wii U is close to 360/PS3 power (albeit more powerful, but in a time of diminishing returns that extra bit of power won't do much) and won't get next gen engines.
If it DID get next gen engines, then that would be a surprise. And the lacklustre sales aren't a good incentive to put in the work it would take to get these engines on Wii U.
