So whats better in the end? Rage 1 or Rage 2?

I finished it today. Rage had way more charm. Although 2 plays much better and is actually more fun. But it's also completely forgettable.

I haven't played Rage 2.

But I think Rage 1 is good. It was short but sweet. Had a few other shortcomings, felt pretty underdeveloped. Gunplay was great. A solid 7/10.

Rage 2 seems to also be pretty fun, but also pretty empty and uninspired open world with a repetitive open world formula. Sounds like a solid 7/10. Would play Rage 2 over a Far Cry from Ubisoft any day. I plan to get it when it's much cheaper.

The original Rage is a fantastic game, only let down by an awful PC version and some of the worst texture streaming I've ever seen in a game.

Still, when you forget its issues and the game is at its best it's just a blast to play through.

I have not played Rage 2 and I don't think I will any time soon. I'm just not down for another open-world slog.

Far cry has better open world than Rage 2 actually.

Rage 1 is better because real alpha males don't like pink sunsets.

Grey/brown games for life.

Rage 2 for me even though I haven't finish it yet I can easily say I enjoy it much more then the first game the combat is a huge improvement and the open world is better.

As far as generic open world games go, I'd put it this way:

Rage 2

Far Cry 5

Far Cry 2

Far Cry: Primal
