But price isn't the only issue. It's capped at 30 FPS ON ALL PLATFORMS.

Most Japanese devs are still in 93. They haven't really discovered engines yet.

I dunno. If a PS4 can run RE8 at 40 FPS in 2021, it should easily run a remastered game from 2003 easily at even 120 FPS. Atlus are just lazy bums now cos they've got that Persona money.

Yeah, I was so hyped when i first knew about this remaster but with each new update i literally lost all of my hype, first, it looks basically the same, after that they sell something that was included with the original game as DLC and now this.

If you are going to port the game, make changes to these archaic systems.

@Pedro: Yeah, but it's a lazy remaster. Game's been ported to Unity, but they still stuck with the 30 FPS lock cos game logic and physics tied to framerate, which Atlus could fix. Add to that QoL improvements. But no.

I'd of rather paid just to play an emulation of original ISO for $10 to have this year's ago... heck, I think you can get it on PS3 for a few dollars digitally **checking** yeah, $9.99, and they also have Persona 3 FES and Persona 4 and Digital Devil Saga 1 and 2 and the two Devil Summoner games ($9.99 each), I'd get a PS3 to play these if I didn't have to worry about that Cbomb. Get these digital titles made accessible on PS5 and I'd buy one (eventually).

Lazy cash-grab. With all the money P4G has made on PC, they probably thought they could get away with a barebones remaster of SMT 3. Literally just ported in to Unity just so it can run on modern machines, without even touching/fixing the code to properly support high refresh rates and even the compressed music.

Sometimes it seems like Japanese devs being better at making games than western devs in general makes them think they can let crap like this slide.

Personally I just dont see the issue here its a PS2 game being remastered. We have many PS2 games remastered like FFX or Okami on PS3/PS4 and everything else also capped at 30fps because its tied to engine.

What we actually should be mad about is the garbage audio not remastered.

Looks and runs fine I don't see what the problem is. Game is a true classic.

Lazy HD ports/remasters are OK for $10 or maybe even $20 for a more fleshed out "classic". But $50 (and selling a deluxe edition for $70) for a single game is pretty laughable when last gen they would sell "collections" of HD remastered games for MSRP $39.99.
