I can almost fit the entire game in RAM twice :P
Edit:
The size also makes me wonder just how unique all those dungeons will be.

Wow those specs are low
edidili
Why the hell is everyone surprised about it?
Yeah, really. The recommended specs are even slightly higher than I expected, but still pretty much on the mark of my assumptions.I honestly don't understand how anyone who has seen screenshots and videos of the game, and knows that 360 is the lead platform would be surprised by these requirements...Specs are low, console port incoming!! Pfft, couldn't care less. The game is looking awesome as it is. Might have to mod it for better textures later ;)harshv82Didn't Witcher 2 have lower specs?
I don't see the issue, and how does this make the dungeosn rehashed and all the same? :?
I think your just looking for reasons to hate the game when you don't have any real evidence to do so.
the game is obviously compressed......what dont you guys get about thatI can almost fit the entire game in RAM twice :P

Consoles are the main platform, won't be as well optimised as Witcher 2 for PC.

Minimum:

Prossessor: Intel 2.2 GHz Dual-Core or AMD 2.5 GHz Dual-Core
Memory: 1.5 GB (Win XP), 2GB (Win Vista/Win 7)

But this is just on Steam which only has the Digital Premium Edition the Game probably only takes up 6GB because the Witcher Enhanced Edition: Director's Cut the game only took up 5GB but it was still a 15GB download.

This is a comparison of Skyrim's specs on the bottom and Witcher 2's specs on top.
I thought the base game would be around 12 -16 GBs. Bethesda confirmed that it would be on one disc on the 360. So I thought they were going to compress things in order to fit onto 8GBs. Well now I know the game won't even be that big.ShadowDeathXYour trolling is pathetic. 12-15GB? this game has absolutely 0 Rendered Videos.
6GB is huge for a game that does not have almost any videos
Skyrim is not FF, so why would it take up more space ?
Most of that would be voices and music too, not game data
[QUOTE="CDUB316"]The world it self may have been big but every thing looked the same because of their refusal to create new art for different areas.so? oblivion is 4.6 GB's and that game was pretty massive....what's the point of this topic? lol

If they did Oblivion would probably still be in development i suppose
was the xbox 360 demo they showed equivalent to medium or high PC settings?

Like with witcher 2, Crysis 1-2 and pretty much every PC to xbox 360 game, it is a mix of medium and high setting

We don't know yet for sure but it wouldn't be any better than medium if that. That's on top of shorter load times, the official mod tools, and various other advantages.
If you want to play Skyrim (or any other Bethesda game) at its best the PC version is the one you want.

Witcher 2 that is 100x more visually heavy than Skyrim is above medium setting of PC on xbox 360
So, why would Skyrim be only as good as medium of PC ?

Not much..but it's something.
Also last time i checked Witcher 2 look very blurry on the 360..unless that was some kind of early build.
but bethesda stated all the dugeons where hand crafted, probably really good compressionRehased Textures and Dungeons Confirmed!! Nothing like walking in a new area that looks exactly like the area you just came from. =D
Proof? and this is the PC version (which is suppose to have better textures), how big is the console version?

And?
I have GOTY Oblivion installed on Steam and the base game + all the DLC is 5.5GB?
I don't know if you ever played Oblvion, but there was a lot of damn content in it...
[QUOTE="TheOtherTheoG"]Surprising, but... I've never found Bethesda games to be particularly large, file size wise. ShadowDeathXThat is true....New Vegas is 7GBs. Ummmm New Vegas is not from Bethesda. Bethesda's latest games Oblivion and Fallout 3 are both 4.6GBs. Don't underestimate the small size though. Mods and texture packs add up very quickly. Currently my Fallout 3 is just a little over 13GBs.
