Silent Hill V will be scarier than RE5

Even though the graphics are not top notch compare to RE5, Silent Hill V will be scarier as hell.

However, look at this picture, doesn't the monster face look like you know what

Silent hill has always been scarier .. .and re4 wasnt even a scary game.

regardless ... SH5 isnt being made by the same team that made the previous ones so dont get yer hopes up for it being the better game, it is also using the same type of gameplay as re4 used, which is a bummer.

who cares if its scarier and the gameplay sucks. RE5 will have the best gameplay in a survival horror game, end of story. Silent Hill V will hopefully deliver though. I like the series.Berem

Hard too be scared in RE when you have a friggin' shotgun...

i don't play resi games to get scared .. i play for the enjoyment

and i fully expect RE5 to be more enjoyable than SH5

there's always been very violent sexual imagery in the silent hill series.

Did you guys remember the first Resident Evil... the mansion was scary as hell. When the dogs pop out of the window in the hallway.. I was screaming like a little girl and my drop on the floor. aka_aj03

HUGE difference between that type of quick jump scare and atmospheric creepiness (like Silent Hill or Fatal Frame). Resident Evil has never been scary, but it has always had the best gameplay of the genre (imo) and usually a great story. Oh, and of course the amazing voice acting!

Neither Silent Hill nor RE are scary series. They're just incredibly intense games. They put pressure on you, and want you to think quick. Most horror games aren't scary at all to be honest. Look at Bioshock.High_Spy

I hope RE5 brings us some old school RE feel, RE4 was awesome and maybe the best in the series, but there wasn't anything scary about it for me at least.

I'm looking forward playing both these games.

Well, I kinda agree but having both is a win, still I'm sure RE5 will have some surprises for us, just because it has the same gameplay as RE4 doesn't mean it won't be scary.

We just have to wait and see.

I'm not too confident with the American Silent Hill team anymore. The game seems to be turning more into RE4/5 with the over-the-shoulder combat mode and somewhat lame creature designs. What I loved most about previous Silent Hill games were the atmospheric cutscenes and I'm just not getting feeling it anymore due to uninteresting art design and underwhelming graphics.

At least RE5 succeeds in graphics and (most likely)gameplay. Silent Hill doesn't seem to have anything going for it right now. It's a shame that I am finally hyping an RE game more than SH but I guess we're just gonna have to wait and see.

OMG! he's being attacked by a Gelgamek vagina someone help him! j/k. i can't wait for this game to hit the 360. SH 2 is still the scariest game i have ever played.

The Silent Hill series have always been scarier than Resident Evil in my opinon. To me Resident Evil have been focus more on puzzle action and gameplay.-DarthMaul-
