Should we Hype for Starfield?

Hello friends,

So only 2 days left till Bethesda/Microsoft joint conference aka the king that own E3. and they will now show Starfield which is pretty confirmed.

Starfield is Bethesda new IP. FPS/RPG hybrid set in space. which is big win compare to elder scroll and fallout.

The PC/Xbox exclusive. or I would say AAA PC exclusive this is. something PC didnot get and now getting AAA PC exclusive now.

rumored that it will star tom cruise if he is in the game should play protagonist.

will going to be very ambitious game if we judge by leaks. its not bethesda MP/Microtransaction/Service game instead a fully fledge Space first person RPG new ip.

So my friends, Im very hype to see how its going to be in next 2 days. but I have feeling it might be best Bethesda Develop game ever made if it deliver. since its setting and universe is far more interesting than Skyrim and Fallout.

There's literally nothing to hype. We still need to see the thing in action!

I am hyped for it because 1- its a scifi rpg, which i am VERY into. 2- Bethesda has some shit to prove after their mega meme F76. When a dev has shit to prove, they usually do a great job for once. I have high hopes for Starfield.

Probably should have just waited until Sunday and make a thread about Starfield then. At least then if they shown it we could have a different discussion then the ones we’ve already had on this.

Anyway like I’ve said before I’m hyped for the game simply based on my experience with their previous games such as Oblivion, Skyrim, Fallout 3, and 4. I have hopes and ideas about how I would like the game to be like so now I’m just waiting to see if the actual product will meet my expectations. Hopefully we’ll see a fair amount this Sunday to find out.

A lot of people are hyped and I would say no you should not be hyped considering there is nothing known about the game. No release date, no really trailer, no list of features, no gameplay, no real screen shots. I dont get how you can be hyped by just a name.

Gamers can be interested in Starfield but hyped? Nope! There is nothing to be hyped about.

I say let people get hyped if they want.

People get hyped over logos or even announcements of potential announcements and announcements of "this many" games in development.

Let people get excited about stuff.

This game is gonna be the best kept secret in gaming,as it has been in development for years and will probably release early 2022 an not a soul knows wtf it is,apart from a fallout in space tag.

The hype is real,pc and Xbox gamers want to see it and PS gamers want to know if it is exclusive

Instead of NPCs shooting up in the air and dropping down, to sudden death, they will now shoot up in space and just float off :p

As a huge fan of Bethesda RPGs, I'm very interested to see their formula applied to a sci-fi setting. I'm going to need a proper trailer to get hyped though, which we're most likely getting in a couple of days.

I'm definitely curious to see what the game actually is... if it turns out to be just Fallout or Elder Scrolls in space, not sure I'll be that into it considering I've never been a fan of those series. But we'll see.

Kinda need to see something to be excited. It's Bethesda, so plenty of room to **** themselves up.

Pedro said it best. Most of us are interested/intrigued on Starfield alone but hyping isn't the word Ghost. That said, you really should have wait until after E3 to make this thread.

I'm very excited to see more of the game. I am hyped over the reveal but not the game just yet. MS has the ball in their court yet once again... however this time they are going to have to get it over the half to make a splash.

Bethesda is one of my favorite game devs and they have a decent track record so I'd say there is a good chance I'll like what I see... if not then that's cool as well since I already have a backlog 7 miles long and several other new games on my radar.

I mean, when it's all said and done, it HAS to be better than 76. I can't see a reason why this wouldn't be a decent game.

Hype? No.

Giving it a chance? Sure.

But we won't really get an accurate picture of how the game is until there are a good amount of user reviews on steam - which will take a while.

if we pretend that last gen for bethesda game studios was just a bad dream and hope we, and when i say we i mean people who own a non sony system, will be getting an oblivion / skyrim in space, i'll be very happy with that. mass effect 1 and the kotor games were a long time ago. outer worlds was ok but never really strayed beyond mildly interesting and tolerable. the world is ready for a new space rpg blockbuster

As an Elder Scrolls/Fallout fan I am excited, on top of that I always feel like there's not enough space sci-fi games so I'll take whatever I can get.

I expect it to be buggy but, and this is a big but, the level of freedom and dialog interaction you get on their games makes me tolerate the clunkiness and rough edges and I take their game design approach over other on rails openwords.

This to say that while not super hyped I'm fairly optimistic I'll have a great time with it.

How is it PC exclusive if it's also on Xbox? And I agree there is literally nothing to get hyped about yet since we know nothing about the game.

My friend, console has been the lead platform for a long time now with most of their influence coming from other console games.

The PC aspect (modding) they tried to turn into microtransaction hell, and will probably attempt to do so again but far more egregiously.

I'm not hyped, but since the setting is in space I have mild interest.

who cares lead platform? all games play better on PC.

beside Xbox is now pre build PC. thus its PC exclusive.

@hardwenzen: Fallout 76 left such a bad taste I still have not had the desire to revisit it, despite the many articles saying that it's worth playing now.

What version of Windows does Xbox come with? Can you tell me how I play all my (actual) PC exclusives on an Xbox console now I have discovered my mistake of not knowing it's actually a PC?
