Reasons to own a PS3. #1...er help me out here guys.

Seriously why are people still buying PS3s? Its a failing system.Sales are getting quite pathetic and its been losing exclusives at an alarming rate this gen.That was the one thing you could rely on with the PS1 and PS2; lots of 3rd party exclusives.Thats why they were so sucsessful.Lots of great games not available on other systems.Now we have FF13,DMC,SO4,Tekken 6..the list is endless really,all appearing on the 360.

While 360 and Wii owners have both enjoyed and have lots of interesting exclusives to look forward to(both 1st and 3rd party) What have PS3 owners got ?Lots of empty promises? Games that Sony has been hyping since 2005,that STILL aren't released?

What makes Sony think showing trailers for the likes of Heavy Rain or MAG is any substitute for losing FF13? Cows are wetting themselves over 30 second teasers,yet they won't be released for years probably.

Upcoming games like R2 will not sell sytems,and LBP is still an unkown quantity,it could flop for all we know.And tbh it looks quite boring in actaul gameplay terms.

Jeez,these aren't any two exclusives.Its Final Fantasy and Tekken.Two games associated closely with the Playstation brand,exclusivity gone within a couple of months.

Don't kid yourself,this is a huge loss for Sony.

all i need to say is RROD and this thread fails.

I could go further and say Resistance 2,

or Littlebigplanet

or Motorstorm 2

or Metal Gear solid

or any other of the great multi platform games coming out..

You basically list third party games that are coming to the ps3 except for SO4 , and then go on to mention LittleBigPlanet , Resistance 2 , Heavy Rain , and M.A.G. , and the importance of Final Fantasy (where are we supposed to play FF Versus XIII?)

You're doing it wrong.

1. LittleBigPlanet, the game that is garnering universal acclaim from just about every site, only on PS3.

2. Resistance 2, potentially the best FPS of the year.

3. Online play, completely free and entirely useable.

4. Blu-Ray, so you dont have to pay repeatedly to watch a film in HD.

5. The already awesome library that includes MGS4, Uncharted and many other high quality games, both exclusive and multiplatform.

Oh, and its failure rate is within the industry norms too.

I just don't understand how someone could honestly look at one library then the other at this moment and say "PS3 for me!" such as Warhawk, Uncharted, Siren Blood Curse, Little Big Planet, Metal Gear Solid 4, Rachet and Clank Tools of destruction and Quest for booty, Wipeout HD, Socom Confrontation, Resistance 1 and 2, Motor Storm 1 and 2, Pixel Junk Eden, GT:prolouge, Killzone 2, God of War 3, Infamous, and dude, there are tons of titles, and reasons to buy a ps3, so stop being such a fanboy.

X360 fans are indeed doing their own waiting. Infact I hope Gears2 is a hit for them, it would be nice for them to get one this year.

the only game im interested in, that is exlusive for 360 is the Halo games.2009 i the year i sell my 360 if something big isn't announced.
