Real Life System Wars With Friend... HELP! (PS3 vs 360)

alright me and my friend are arguing about which system is better.

here are my points for PS3:

-built in wifi ($100)

-free online ($50/year)

-no need for play and charge kit ($30)

-blu ray player (+$100)

-higher rated exclusives

-more quallity games for more genres

-bluetooth support

-hdmi support for all ps3

-web browser (pr0n ftw!)

There's not a lot of point to any system war - I came up with the definition and put it in my sig because of people being jealous and/or petty about being able to play a video game that another person cannot play because of a choice they made.

If you like the system you own, have fun with it, that's the whole point.

Exclusive games/features have been a part of gaming culture since at least the 80's when you had a choice of Nintendo Famicom/NES - Sega Master System (later Mega Drive/Genesis) - moving onto NEC with their TurboGrafx 16/PC Engine, and so on and so on. If you see a game you want to play you purchase the machine required to play it.

ps3 easily wins in comparison. to many bells and whistles compared to 360. $100 wifi?!?!?!?! lolUmad?!?!?!!?

It's all personal preference. The 360 is better at some things, and the PS3 is better at others.

I'll wait to the end of the year. Where are most of the accolades coming from, a graphical stand point? While I know that U2 has scored extremly high(and many goty's), I wanna know how many are graphically related. The same could happen to ME2, however it could be forgotten about by then, unlike U2 that released close to the end of the year. Also, to me neither ME2 nor U2 are killer apps. To me games that make the consumer buy/want to buy a console for it is a killer app(I mean a large amount), while simultaneously being a decent to great game. EG: GT, Halo, MGS4, GEOW, and possibly GOW. Games like KZ2, R2, banjo and kazooie just don't do it.

Honestly, I have more fun debating things with people than I do proving one console is better than another. The fact of the matter is each console has its pros and each has its cons. People pick what they like based off of that. If they can afford it they have more than one and just because they have more than one DOESN'T mean that they don't have a favorite.

It's all subjective and it's all opinion-based. System Wars is just for fun, so have fun with it.

My favorite thing to do to obvious Lemmings is say, "Name 5 exclusive games worth owning a 360 for." Then just as they start talking add, "...that aren't Gears or Halo." Most guys in the "bro" crowd and the "casual hardcore" as I'll call them know nothing of other games. The next go to is usually Call Of Duty to which I respond, "Multiplatform."

please read before you post a retort. I think his main point was that most of the 360 fans out there(not here on SW) dont even know how many OTHER great exclusive games there are for their game console. Which is a shame.

If you dont have live 50 bucks then chances are most of your library is not playable

It'd be like somebody saying Mario and Zelda for Wii and that's it. 2 games? That's all? There has to be more than that. Most of these people are unaware of what's out there.

Why waste time when you guys can easily swap consoles to play any game you want? I am a Sony fan and a good friend of mine is a big MS fan. We sometimes have disagreements about games or which console is better, but mostly we hang out at each other's place and experience the games we want. This weekend, we got together so he could experience Heavy Rain and Uncharted 2. Other times I get to experience Mass Effect or Gears.

Seems like arguing about which console is better with your own friends is just a waste of time. Save that stuff for when you are bored on the net.
