Rage 2: The BFG 9000 and 11 Minutes of Awesome New Gameplay

the selling point of this game is id style shooting and movement in open world games that never done before.

Holy shit! All the pink/green flashing on the screen when you're playing - trying to induce epileptic seizures? It hurts my eyes just watching the video.

Looks like they took the super suit powers from Crysis and included them into the "overdrive" aspect of the FPS....

I think I'm going to vomit a bit from all the green/pink strobe light flashing.

Yeah looks decent... but nothing groundbreaking.

Only babies play games with that much colour. Real badasses just play monochromatic games like Doom.

Gawd, get rid of that crosshair!

like in every game. there is always the option to turn off crosshair or hit detection.

A HUD is supposed to be clean and simple. Who's idea was it to make the HUD fluo green and purple and make it flash all the time? Sounds like something that would be scrapped a the drawing board, but here it seems to have made it into the full game.

The rest of the effects are the same, just way too over the top. Couldn't watch the rest of the video, it's giving me a headache.

Sorry Ghost but this looks very casual and kiddish. I rather wait for a real manly game which is Doom Eternal ;)

They're trying to compete with the light show that is Destiny 2 lulz.

The more I see of this game the more of a pass it is for me. The vehicle combat sections seem like best part. As a shooter, its weapons are creative, but nothing about the FPS aspect of the game looks satisfying to me.

God, I can't wait. Game looks so fun.

With that said, where have all the car combat games gone? The vehicle combat in Rage 2 looks like a lot of fun, and back in the day it felt like we'd get at least one or two of those kinds of games each year.

Between the classics like Interstate 76, to the bread-and-butter Metal Gear, all the way up to the criminally short-lived MMO Auto Assault...it just seems like we are lacking these days.

I'm thinking it's competing with Far Cry: New Dawn more ways and nothing like Destiny 2.

@phbz: the upcoming Doom has some popping colors mixed in with the hellish backgrounds. I think it’ll be a cool retro meets new age look from the footage I have seen.

This is basically waiting game until real masterpiece Doom Eternal comes out.

The lighting looks pretty good. I feel like we've hit a wall graphically. Waiting to see the next step..

Insane auto aim, crappy graphics, mega blur. This must be the PS4 version.

Hopefully the PC version looks better. As for the gameplay, it looks okay. Not sure if it's 60 dollars worth, but maybe 45.

This game has no identity... The more I see of it the less I see a actual new game but a cluster f*** of everything released since the first Rage thrown into one big stew of no thank you.
