Great news. more and more developers need to ditch the multiplayer. for that im going to support this game alone.

now its insta hype for me.

You want to support a game because it has less options as ways to play the game? I have no problem with SP only games, but MP modes just add value and replay-ability imo. Out of curiousity, do you not like playing games online?

I hate when developers add it in for no reason, but Rage 2 looks like it would work in a team battle mode. The vehicles and the mayhem all look like it would be a blast in mp.

Ehhhh... If MP is implemented well, and it's actually damn fun, then I really like it. My bro and I often like to share some MP fun (usually co-op), so it's why we've been playing DS: Remastered pretty heavily. TL;DR i'd take a co-op.

More developers should focus on the SP experience! MP should just be an afterthought.

Cool... what Bethesda showed of Rage 2 at E3 actually made me more hyped for it. Looks fun.

@Ant_17: bordlerlands gunplay was terrible. Rage 1 gunplay was great and this seem even better.

Hey, i'm with you, Gearbox can't make a good game if it landed in their lap, but for all we know it could be worse.

id really should make a game like Borderlands. Think Borderlands with id software gunplay and animations. I'd drool..

The first RAGE barely had multiplayer. No point in wasting their time on a MP component nobody would care about.

Not to say this can't or shouldn't, Quake 1/2 and RTCW delivered both.

But if it's tacked on low quality shit, with masses of DLC spam, who cares?

That's good, because I hardly play any MP games ever since this gen started and I'm always on the single player games for the most parts.

If you like Mad Max movies and the game itself, you'll love Rage 2 :)

I feel the same, however, I definitely can see the $$$ and gamer cred they'd lose out on if there is no MP. I feel they should have some MP, even if it's basic (although I would never play it, but I know there are plenty who would).

Mixed feelings here. I like the focus on single player that’s why I’d buy this game anyway. But some of the best multiplayer games were multiplayer’s that were just tact in just because. Gears of war is a perfect game example of this. So I’m for just throwing it out there cause you never know it could become a thing.

Though I admit I am a little confused, this is a straight-up shooter as far as I can tell, seems like some multiplayer would be in order, even if it is tacked on. I don't know, maybe developers finally realized the development costs of a multiplayer game is not worthwhile when A.) you can make a great singleplayer game without it, and B.) the competition (CoD, Battlefield, etc) is going to take your players, anyway (thus making excessive DLC not worth it, the bread and butter of multiplayer games).

Kinda looks like a game that should be multiplayer, to be honest. Indeed, I'd go so far as to say it looks like it would be a snoozefest without being able to rampage with your friends.

And I say this as someone who really doesn't care for MP games much any more

If they want to dedicate to one gamemode that's fine by me.

Machinegames did the same for Wolfenstein and it worked out wonderfully.

A bit silly to have no MP considering the engine it's built on.

Not like it would be much effort to cobble together a few maps and game modes.
