ps4 has no games!

I bought a PS4 on launch day.... Why am I going to give up PC gaming?

So the count should look something more like this.

XB1 AAAE - 1 PS4 AAAE - 0

XB1 AAE - 1 PS4 AAE - 2

I don't really care either way. I've been playing a ton of Olli Olli and Towerfall Ascension on PS4 lately. But I would never use either of those games being on PS4 as ownage to someone else.

No 9 exclusives on PS4. RIP Sony :(

Oh I was just curious because PC has indie games and you seem anti indie. Can I ask why? If a game is good does it really matter? Though I do agree with the dearth of games on the PS4/X1. Reason I haven't upgraded yet. Plan on a PS4 soon though. Not sure the X1 is worth it because most of the exclusives seem to hit PC so I'm not sure what I'd be missing if I don't.

Indie games should accent a console.. if you can use that word in this context.. lol.

Get some solid first party and 3rd party titles and surround them with a crap ton of indie titles... It should not be the other way around..Sony always fails to recognize this when launching consoles.. games games games games games.. You can only live on amazing hardware for so long.

This will change over time and it is slowly doing that now, but to this point the PS4 has been a waitstation. I unfortunately wasn't patient enough and sold mine. I know for a fact I'll pick it up in 2 years when it's first party and 3rd party games surrounded with solid indie games.

That's why I'd buy a console, and why the Xbox One is more appealing to me as of now than the PS4.

I assumed you guys were talking games without big devs/pubs behind them. I could be wrong but that is what I assumed you meant. And you have to admit there are games for PC that qualify. I'm not saying that is good or bad....really it depends on if you have fun but you seemed to not like indie games per your reply so I was wondering is all.

I am very picky when it comes to games. There are lots of things that I don't like about certain games, like the use of 8bit graphics for example but there are things I do like about indie games. I like the fact that they can do what they want to do without a big publisher taking over. I also find that certain genres that I like, only indie games scratch that itch so to speak. Nowadays, you will not find a AAA release of a tower defense game. One of my favourite tower defense games is Defense Grid.

That is a plus. Many a dev had to change their vision due to publishers.

Everyone needs to stop the crying... if the game is rated high, it shouldn't matter what kind of game it is, or what studio it came from. Still, those numbers seem off... I too would like to see a list, because something tells me, those numbers are flawed.

Either way, it has been awhile since a game worthy of anything over an 8 has come out on anything for a long time imo.

I need to get on my X1 and see if there is anything new. I know a couple of the games that are download only like that golf game and KI are pretty damn good. Bottom line still stands that it doesn't matter, a game is a game. Now, separating the games into categories is fine as well, but there are some indies like Oddworld and the upcoming title H-Hour that can hold their own against any non indie studio.

I never understood games like flower or anything like that.... certainly not a 9 unless you are rating it on genre alone.. which seems fair/unfair, because there aren't a whole lot of games that are so strange and certainly not many in the genre... I mean what do you even classify that as?

If I am going to buy a console as expensive as either the PS4 or Xbone, there need to be at least 20 quality exclusives to play. Right now the PS4 has maybe 1 and the Xbone has 1.

It's mostly due to the fact that it's less than a year old and same goes for the Xbox 1. The PS3 and 360 didn't have much to choose from their first couple of years as well.

Aside from the blind fanboy, most people who say this put it as "the next gen consoles have no games". At least that's what I have seen. I own an X1, soon (mutha fuckin financial aid on October 6th!!!) a PS4 and WiiU. And from the outset the only game I wanted to play on PS4 was KZSF. Score wont make me not buy it next month because I decide what I like. Then Infamous SS came and there were two. Now I know indies are the rage. X1 has some games I downloaded as a gold member and that's cool. But I don't have the time to game as I once did. So, when I buy new hardware I want games that need it, or at least last gen at this less than a year out, point. So 2D indies? Great, but I have no time for them. I am a busy adult in the world. I want the games that the new hardware is supposed to be about and both consoles have lacked. But I did want to play DR3, Forza, and Titanfall so I bought the X1 first (also its a thing with some US military guys to buy the American company's outing first, I am sure the Japanese understand). Play scores all you want, bottom line is these consoles lack. Thank god my army buddy knows his PC shit and built me a great rig with that GI bill money.

Last of Us isn't an indie game...
