PS3 Shafted Again, This Time It's Personal

So Treyarch officially confirms split-screen, and low and behold, The Official Sony Blog promotes it.

But a quick edit shows that the 360 version is the only version to support second account log-ins, while the PS3 is stuck with the guest system.

And this REALLY ticks me off because there is no excuse for it, and as a major Call of Duty and split-screen fan it just absolutely blows.

I really don't get it, anyone else pissed off?

This is actually my #1 beef with the PS3... as i do couch co-op on any game that allows it with the girlfriend.

I don't personally care.I could imagine it being nice for some people though, maybe family that has a couple kids and only 1 PS3 or college roommate that mooches off his roommates' PS3. Maybe for them it's nice to be able to log in with separate accounts. Other than that I don't see it being an important feature at all.

Campaign co-op is nice. Special Ops mode split screen would be nice (make ALL missions split screen). But full fledged multiplayer?? I'm not sure why anyone would really want to play and have to share the same screen on a constant basis to really worry about it. If you are just doing it once in awhile then who cares if you have to log in as guest?

I ask because of the person mentioning Resistance/Castle Crashers. I have a hard time believing laziness because that shouldn't be much of a difference to port. you already have the basics.

Thats unfortunate to those who are buying Black Ops for the PS3. Personally, I'm not really affected by this

Have you had a mate over to play Halo split screen online before? Everyone wants to use their own account so they can get whatever the game offers, whether it be in game experience, rank ups, achievements, awards etc. It's a great feature & should be put in the PS3 version. Hopefully it will get patched in or something.

Considering that other games do it, complete fail on Treyarch's part. Not surprising, this list of features and "enhancements" makes it seem like they just found out this gen started or something. COD has, and always will, blow.

Sucks for pS3 owners. Oh well get the 360 version if u want this feature so badly.

thats too bad, i admit i use some split screen on mw2 and CoD4, oh well, online is where its at for me as always :)
