PS3 is the best console this generation.

Now that I own a PS3 (proud owner as of yesterday), I have to say it is a very nice system. However, it's still second place to my 360 in my opinion. Although I am having a lot of fun with MGS4, Killzone 2, and LBP, I still enjoy my Halo 3 and Gears 2 more. I don't own a Wii yet, so I can't really comment on it.

1- It has the better games, I mean look at the Wii and 360 they are becoming old while the PS3 just pumping great exlusives left and right with today's standards and demands from gamers in less than a month the ps3 had 2 high quality titles while 360 and Wii are offering the gamers awful games to their standards.

2- I said it combines the 3 in one package add to that bluray.

3- Im talking about this generation of consoles and the wii is basically the GC with different box cover, look at the PS3 with its powerful hardware and it runs smooth and quite and doesn't overheat at all.

Owning all three systems, I will say my PS3 is the sexiest out of all three. I usually only play on my xbox if a good friend of mine only has an xbox. Otherwise I am on my PS3 80% of the time.

Also, I love when people say LIVE > PSN. Dedicated servers have only been done on PSN, and work WAY better then peer-to-peer servers that LIVE uses.

The PS3 game library is very limited for me, and filled with short boring games so far

See, PS3 is not even close to having the quality and huge games that 360 has, so far it has the two lowest scoring JRPGs this generation and short linear games like MGS4, LBP, GOW3, Heavy Rain, Uncharted 1-2 etc, while 360 has an avalance of huge games, with huge open worlds and with stunning next gen visuals in those vast vistas

PS3 game library is meaningless right now to me, FF13vs is the only important game it has, and that is one of my least wanted JRPG's as well, since i hate the overly serious/mature art ****they are trying

The only thing I see that really matters is the reliability of the PS3 over the Xbox 360. Mircosofts hardware issue are flat out pathetic. Someone previously posted about Nintendo & reliability, just want to say move on as Nintendo doesn't even count.

while I do like the games library on my PS3 (im kinda picky about games, and Sony does a good job atm of getting impressive, diverse and just plain good games out), I somewhat disagree with the PS3 being the best console this gen.

I bought it at launch kinda seeing it as a newer version of the PS2 (which is on an alltime 2nd place for consoles for me).

But I was aiming too high it seems, it really Does have a problem with its price, and it somehow diddnt blow my mind like the previous generations of consoles did. Also all the promises, and the "impressive" tech proved to be horribly inefficient.

I guess its because Blu-Ray means absolutely nothing to me, that I am not that impressed, or that I got the 360 6 months before (may it rest in peace).

it just did not have that big of an impact on me as I would have liked :( truth is, that I rarely use it at all.

Well It did outlive my 360, which warrents a warm thought about its hardware ^^

The best console however in my mind is the Wii, I do not have one, and it seems I am pretty much the only one in my family that doessnt, heck my old folkes has one. the games suck on it, the graphics are ugly, but it is dirt cheap, and taps into the most basic ideas of fun, and suceeds in keeping people comming back to it.

Also, I am fairly sure the PS3 will be supported for 10 years, I do doubt however that it will be a relavent console after 5-6 years of its life. Mostly due to its competitors.

im sorry, but its not lol, and when is sony gonna fix these issues with PSN, you cant delete players met off the list, you can only block them and delete them from the block list, you cant just mass delete all of them you have to go through each one, and sometimes the "error" crap will pop up while deleting them, during RE5 there was a time where it was hard to invite people it would stay on the loading screen (this was the demo ofcourse) but after being told this happened because of how many friends you had on your psn list i just shook my head, psn is awesome because of free, playing online free is always awesome

But is PSN more conveniant ? hell no, so yes you do get what you pay for, however i do love the way the ps3's interface is & the store more than 360's and the themes what i dont love is that i cant play any of my own music that sucks !, and trophies are ok, but achievements are best

1. the best games are subjective, but atm PS3 has more exlusives that i want.

2. all the extra features arent essential, but they're nice to have.

I just want to game online; I don't care to talk to anyone when I'm online and gaming, so PSN suits me just fine. Connectivity is good, and the layout and organization of the store and the XMB is excellent. Personally I find the Live interface messy and confusing at worst. Aesthetically the PSN interface is more mature and subdued. Theres nothing wrong with PSN.beekayjay

Fair enough Loftus... I can see how communication can be harder on PSN, but like i said, its not a priority for me personally. If thats the only significant difference, I find it hard to understand how it warrants a yearly subscription fee.beekayjay
