Predict the price for next gen consoles

Reggie has went on record saying it won't be cheap, so I think they will have moderately strong hardware and the tablet will increase cost. They will not have mutiple Skus.

Prediction: $350.00

Xbox 720:

Microsoft saw what happened this gen with their SKus, and it worked greatly. They will hit the same prices. They will also create a console that beats even the strongest pc on the day of release.

Prediction: Xbox 720 core: $300 Xbox 720 (with kinect bundled) : hardcore: $400

PS4:

After the complete failure this gen of the PS3, and coming in last, and being billions in debt, SOny will go casual. More so than any other console. This is their only hope for any success, albeit the chance of a Sony system having success is slim to none these days, it isn't 2001 anymore. No multiple Skus. It will be less powerful than even the Ps3 to cut costs.

Prediction: $200.00

I have a gut feeling that this will be the most expensive gen yet.

WiiU = $400+

PS4 = $600+

XBOX720 = $500+

If going by the last 10 years is anything to go by, these are my predicitons

Next gen Xbox: AU: $650-$700 US: $550-$600

Next gen Playstation: AU: $1000 US: $900

Wii U: AU: $500 US: $400

Xbox: 300-400

PS4: 400-500

WiiU: 250-300

Iam still going with sony being the most expensive as usual

Microsoft is too casual-oriented now to drop a $500 or a $600 bombshell on the consumers.

I predict a $250 max console with streaming and digital distribution as its focus.

Playstation 4: $200-$300

No console should launch over $400, it just is not smart buisness wise and makes them inaccessible to consumers.

Wii U will probably sell the bundle of the Wii U plus a controller for $400, but individually

Wii U = $200 - Wii Tablet Controller = $300

PS4 is likely to push new formats for everyone, like they did with Blu-Ray, only this time I think it'll be a storage medium. So we're likely to go back to casettes, but 21st century style. Will likely be medium powered device, but they can't sell it at a loss since they can't afford to... soooo...
PS4 = $399.99

Xbox 720 = They can afford to underprice their console, and will likely do so to maintain their lead. High Powered console, lot of focus on CPU to power their home entertainment device vision. Will cost $500 to manufacture, but they'll match PS4 price andn go with $399.99. I think they'll make the Kinect built in Mandatory.

I don't know how you console only gamers have resisted so long but next gen is going to be the time to build a gaming rig ;). Im predicting expensive consoles next gen, even Nintendo have already stated the WiiU isn't going to be cheap :| and look at the price of the PSV.

I dont think it will be as expensive as this gens Xbox and Playstation. Probably because I dont think there will be another console that loss-leads.

Nextbox: $499 (bundled with a revised Kinect input)
PS4: $399

Assuming Sony goes with a Tablet portable console;

Wii U: $249

PS4: $299 - $349

Xbox 720: $299 (to remain competitive)

Gaming consoles need to stay as competitive as possible considering theres going to be much tougher times with better Tablets AND Smartphones released in the future.

Android and Apple will be dominant.

Key will be to give incentive to people to buy Consoles >>>>>over>>>>>Smartphones / Tablets.

Its possible but based on MS's past, doubtful. Everything for the 360 was a peripheral, Wifi,HDdvd,Kinect,Play and charge kit. Theres more money to be made releasing a new console for 399 and a kinect v2 for 129 or whatever. People will buy it.
