nah, you did fine... I actually really enjoyed this cast. It had surprises which I usually don't get, given heil and I do the agendas. I want to do another like this.

The online stuff I think really doesn't mean much to be quite honest. Yes it sucks that console mp games will lose servers and those games shut down unlike PC classics(like Unreal 2k4 which still has a playlist going...with crazy people), but it's fucking Nintendo. Their online games sucked, and the one community that was super active either moves to PC servers to begin with or the next Pokemon game anyway. Matter of fact that's really the thing with online games as it is, these people move onto the next group of online games. There might be some exceptions for heavy duty MP games that generate so much money consistently(ala WoW, which will probably take decades to shut down).

The PSN/Live thing will get a shut down, but if anything it'll be like what happened with XBL1. Halo 2 and XBL1 wasn't shut down till what? 08? 09? So in that regard PSN/Live will go as long as they possibly can before it's costing them more money than it's worth, and well good will with your consumers has enough weight to carry these online services for a good few years after release(especially when you consider the XBox only sold 20 million units, and the PS3 and 360 more than trippled that).

@jg4xchamp: yeah and in that respect I can see the sales and support for gen7 consoles carrying on for a while. I mean, I'd buy a 99 dollar 360 or ps3 in 4-5 years from now. It'd keep my library active plus roku box apps all functioning as the entertainment living room hub Microsoft wanted it to be in the first place. :P

Halo2 was the only legit reason to keep those servers on, and ms obliged... The 360 and ps3 have so many resons to keep it supported... And honestly, if they keep xbla live, pretty damn profitable.

Yeah that's the other thing, I'm sure they still get so many people active on the XBLA store alone.

OG XBL wasn't generating any more money than the subscription.

I love it too. Even in the face of complete annihilation on some topics, the "Mantra" Heil pulls out is completely perfect. I often get a big smile and a LOL too.

We should talk Second Son and Titanfall impressions on the next cast. Lots to say.

For season 3 i think you guys need to do something a little different to not only make the Youtube channel bigger but to also go beyond just having a podcast of few people talking about all sorts of things gaming related.

i think what you guys should introduce next is some sort of a draw type contest/event for every game that comes out and the winner ( some sort of a voting system to help make a winner? ) would need to do a review of that set game ( the reviewer can be a GameSpot user or not a user ) then the reviwer once done can send the video to ( Eroica, animal or Hiel ) for them to post it on the YouTube channel because this way its sorts of like the podcast where you get to hear the users talking about games but this time around you get to hear the users talk about the games they reviewed so the channel will have two sort of events the podcast and the "users reviews"

any user can come in and suggest to review X game for example and its up to " Eroica, Heil or animal ) to agree or not ( of course this would need its own sticky thread unless you guys want to be in the same thread as the podcast? ).

just something random i thought maybe you guys would be interested in instead of just having the usual weekly podcast and working that much for it because with the user reviews i believe you guys will have more time to get ready for the next podcast episode.

of course some people would say the downside of this is that those who like the games or franchises will review the games more positively but who cares this is a way to hear what the users liked about X or Y game from their own perspective so you get the official GameSpot reviews and the SW user review ( of course its up to you guys if you want to make one user review one game at a time or multiple users review the same game. EX: infamous second son to be reviewed by Eroica since he wanted to and no one else or Erica and animal review the same game and hear each of their thoughts).

I've noticed that you guys changed to a new YouTube channel than the old ( dont understand why didnt the old channel have more views?) so maybe introduce something other than just the podcast?

60 podcasts in one year. Aww yeah! And Synthia again! Aww yeah!

And yeah, Youtube channels all over the place. First it was SWM (RIP), and then a channel just for P2M, but now there's Point Insertion! Considering this group makes more than just P2M, expanding was great; but it is annoying having to follow channels around, because then the place you subscribed to isn't going to make new content anymore.

That sounds like that could work. Getting reviews out in a timely fashion can sometime be challenging because life gets in the way.

Yeah, it would be better I think to have 1 central place for all content.

@getyeryayasout: Thank you! And it wasn't just me, it was dozens and dozens of other passionate System Warriors.

However, SWM depended on System Wars being a thriving place so that it would have a lot of writers and submissions and content, and unfortunately Gamespot's dramatic loss of viewership in the past year has really slowed down the forums (and SW as well). It's not ghost-town yet, but it's low enough that something like the SW Awards and SWM simply don't function anymore.

However, Point Insertion is made by a close knit group of System Warriors that really care about what they are doing, so they are dependent on themselves rather than a larger community. And by still sticking to their SW roots (talking about P2M specifically), they might have the power to become the engine that keeps SW from dying.

Sorry I didn't make it , Wed and Thurs have been busy days for me lately =(

I think having guests have topics of their own is really good to mix it up
