you know what dispite alot people saying pc is dying or dead. It goes to show that there are big companies that care about their fans. Not all big companies are evil and money hungery. I have so much respect for game devs and big companies like bio-ware, lucas arts, seria, valve and guild wars. They stick up for their fans and the pc plat makes me so happy.

D3 isn't guaranteed for 2009. Hell, it's slated for release on December 31st. It might as well be a 2010 game at that point.pielover666

D3 isn't slated for ANY date right now.

However, developer comments imply that the game is already mostly complete and will be released within the next year and a half.

"...we could be 40% done but really only be 20% done. We could be at 80% completion and have to rework and go back to 20% completion. We really want to get this game out when we feel the game is complete, that way the consumer gets what they want." That's not the exact quote, but it's very close. So look forward to Diablo 3, but don't expect a release date for quite some time.

The footage from Blizzard WWI looked pretty polished.

Diablo 3 will launch October or November 2009, they have over a year to finish the game.

lol, PC has a lock on every year. Although I really do not think it's fair to compare PC to consoles. PC's hardware tech upgrades every six months, where consoles upgrade every five years. PC's game catalogue extends generations, while console game catalogues restart every five years.DireOwl

The rest of the time goes toward content. WoW has a massive ammount of content, but Diablo games always had the most content (as far as I know) for their time. A year is not that much time. The dungeons that we've seen are most more than likely made solely for conference purposes only.

They said at the WWI that they were very far along and that they had 1 Act already done, if we assume a similar number of Acts to D2 then they have engine +20%-25% of the levels.
