You guys im in a dilema, im gettin a large lumpsome of money on thurday, about approx 500$, now listen, i have this flat screen sexy monitor with all the HD features and wut not probly about 22'', and i think it would go perfect with an xbox 360, BUT, i WANT NINTENDO WII but i have been looking since launch and i styll can't find it, i even bought TP and COD3 for Wii thinkin i was gonna get the system but i CAN'T find it. so what should i do, i no i will enjoy the HD SEXINESS, but what about my 2 Wii games? can somebody give me an approximate total cost of what it would be to FULLY enjoy the 360 (including VGA cables, and one killer app (Gears maybe))

EDIT: And believe me, I would love to Wii60 my way home but i just can't afford the time and money to devote myself to playing 2 COOL A$$ systems

Go with the 360.  Wii doesn't have enough games out right now, so if you wait a year on that and get a 360 now you should be good to go.

Id say get the 360, and enjoy the great games. Would be a waist to play the Wii on your HD monitor. And I was going to get a Wii, but after trying it and seeing what it looks like, and whats coming out, I just got a gamecube for Zelda TP and stuck with my 360. Get Rainbow Six Vegas and Gears with your 360.

360. It has the better lineup at the moment. Wii won't be hitting its stride until later in the year.

Only $500? Get the Wii, if you can find it. You already own two games and it comes with Wii Sports, so you'll have quite a few things to mess around with. You'll also have more money for discretionary spending this way - another Wii game, a VCS title or two maybe, and used or Player's Choice GameCube games.

If you were getting $600-$650 I would recommend the Xbox 360. But you really don't want Core, and the Premium + Gears will pretty much tap out your $500, especially if your state has sales tax. You might have to go into pocket to get the VGA cable. If you can find a bundle that offers a good deal with a game you want, you might think about that.

EDIT: Don't write off the possibility of two systems.  You can always get one or the other later.

If you have games for the wii already just be patient and try to go look for it, if you look hard enough for one you might just find one.

If you bought a Premium 360, a VGA cable, and one new game ($59.99), along with a default tax rate of 8%, you would be looking at a few cents less than $530.00

If you added a play and charge kit (its more than worth it) you would be up to $551.00.

If I were in your shoes, I'd buy the 360 now and the Wii later.  (someone else said that).

I mean unless you are dead set on the Wii and what games it has to offer, get that. I for one am buying into the system wars feeling that the console is very kiddie now and is nothing but last gen ports and multiplats of cartoon/anime based games. Hopefully people will actually develop novel games for the Wii and I will have an excuse to actually buy it.

But clearly, biased or unbiased, the 360 has the largest selection of games out there right now, that's a fact.

Get a 360. Superior game lineup and graphics. Plus, all the games that are worth getting on the PS3 are coming to the 360 also.
