This is the only one I would buy as possibly representative of the final game, and i don't think it tops Gears 2, personally.

That pic doesn't look really good but the game looked great in motion.

GOD some people are so stupid Resistance=FPS Gears=TPS Resistance=Hale soft spoken man who is half alien who has no real friends Gears=Marcus a talkative badass who has plenty of friends and support around him Resistance=Different plot Gears=Different plot Resistance=Chimera Gears=Locust Resistance=Different weapons Gears=Different weapons Resistance=Alternate reality on Earth Gears=Fictional planet The ONLY things similar about these games is the #2 and aliens that are taking over the world in catastrophic scenery. correction the Locust are not really "aliens" Resistance aliens come from space and Locust come from the same planet underground

This feels like a flashback from 06. The only difference will be R2 will score better this time around. I think both game look good.2beers_in_hand

Both games look great and will most likely score well and be well liked by those that buy them. Enough already with the comparison when neither game has been released. Just buy resistence 2 when it comes out, enjoy it, and if you want, you can say to yourself "Wow, this looks so much better than Gears 2" but NO ONE CARES.

Those shots are pretty underwhelming, like just about everything I've seen from this game in the visuals department.

It doesn't look as good as Gears 2.

I was gonna stay away from this thread since I never considered graphics to be a big part of Resistance's appeal, but I accidently clicked and got sucked into it. After looking at those contours, the lighting, the polygons, the draw distance, etc. I'm forced to come to the absolute conclusion that this game actually does look better than Gears.

I feel dirty now.

Nope R2 looks better then that ue3 slime texture. Lighting and scale is way better also.
