I agree, though FPSes have been stale for awhile. This year KZ3 and Resistance 3 both missed the mark and moved backwards in every conceivable way. I haven't played any other FPSes though. BF3 is good at least. Hopefully they will be able to iron out the wrinkles with patches, but I hope the hit detection doesn't turn to crap after fixing the rubber banding like it did when they fixed it in BC2.

8-8.5. 8.5 to be more specific. I truly doubt MW3 can do anything new that hasn't been done before. It'll come out fun like always but not enough to warrant anything more than pleasing the COD crowd. I don't think GS will give it a 9 since BF didn't get one either. I feel this is perhaps the decline of the FPS craze with all its 9 reviews.

I think it will score an 8.5, so I'm hoping for the best.

The general consensus seems to just be str8 hatin because it's popular.

Im considering buying this as i have more money than sense since i've been whoring the overtime at work, if its gash i get a few cheevo's and trade it in against Skyrim xD.

I voted for AAAA (really think that Gamespot may give it that high of a score), But I really think that it'll get a 9 from Gamespot.

AA is leading in the poll? Don't you guys want it to flop if it ends up AA? Do the right thing. Vote AAA ;)

Also if it ends up with a AAA with a hype of AA that will mean Modern Warfare 3 exceed hype.

AAA, best shooter this year on consoles. BF3 is horrible on consoles.deleterguy

its far from horrible, that trophy goes to homefront.

It goes like this:

MW - 10/10

MW2 - 9/10

Black Ops - 7.5/10

So I really don't know what to expect from MW3. I'm not hyped at all. BOps become boring pretty fast.

I will get it though. Gameplay will probably be the same ( guns blazing ) and that is becoming a little bit boring but we will see

I'm getting either a 9.0 or an 8.5. Will still sell very well, though, since everyone and their grandmother will be buying it.

This game looks good but clearly there is no reason for it to score higher than bf3 great multiplayer and crappy sp modes redskins26rocs

The game is going to get a 9 here. Every year they seem to find just enough new to say it's not a copy of last years game. MW2 and Black Ops were both AA games that got AAA.

Not much chance below AAA, judging by Battlefield's single player it should at least beat that (I'm only 3/4 way through though of Battlefield). I know I'm going to play it, just not sure if it's worth a purchase yet with Skyrim coming out 3 long days later which will suck my life away.

On topic: "rush mode" was basically COD's formula of quick pace action and the campaign.....I thought I already seen this less than impressive campaign last year--it was called black ops.
