Anyway, the new patch has all but relaunched this game. I started a new file and it is nothing like the original vanilla game from 2016... I'm having a blast with it... Its basically space minecraft with friends.

I even like the story elements! They did a great job of making you feel like a space explorer. I'm in!

Without a coherent mission structure it's pointless.

@TheEroica: The new way to say the name of the game is No Mans Saves.

Its still a No Mans Buy for me.

I'm curious to try it, but I'll wait for the price to drop significantly.

So, what's the purpose in single player?

I want to play/buy it again but the multiplayer is not ideal as far as I understand. I would love to come across other players by chance, even if the game had to "guide" you to make it easier, but if I understood correctly you have to play it with 4 friends, other than that it's just the same floating orbs. Am I correct?

Anyhoo, yeah I'm all about it. Looks like a hugely impressive update so far. I put around 30 hours into the game ages ago; started a whole new save file just for NEXT. I'm particularly excited about the expanded base building.

Just have fun if you love sci-fi space flying stuff. What really puts the icing on the cake for this game (well for me) is the ability to fly in/out of planets, travel in outer space through hyperspace and it's just a relaxing game really.

Yeah it's currently sitting at $50 now, I wait for a major sale on it. I'm surprise it's not on Game Pass.

Unless you really like sci-fi related stuff, you won't like NMS.

3rd person makes it 100x better. Space fights are a breeze now.

Definitely much better now then when it initially launched. I am more interested in the game then I was before however I have so much on my plate right now that it’ll be awhile if I ever get around to it.

Is this where people who don’t know anything about this update but love to be outraged and join hate bandwagons come to trash the game and spread misinformation ? I see ip daily is already here.

Good for them but I still am not interested.

After playing NEXT for over ten hours, I can say it is solid. The name changes are bit silly and pointless, but other than that, they did a good job making the game feel current gen.

Mind you, making all weapons weaker, and restricting upgrades, was a bad call..

There is a wide world outside of SW check it out sometime. There were over 85k people on it at the same time on steam last night. It is doing very well right now.

I already put in 73 hours into the vanilla No Mans Sky(dont ask) this update is almost a complete overhaul and since I installed it again I have put in 13 hours in a week which is rare for me.

That being said the game even though its as close to being fixed as it could be is still not for everyone.

With this update its a solid 7-8/10 game, worth it IF you want a Sci-Fi experience.

The game certainly looks more interesting than at launch. However, not enough to make me want to play it.

Aliens are now lot better in this game.

They used to be very static, with no animations to speak of. Now they are very lively and feel much more real.

Gotta say, every time I play, I'm super impressed how much better the game feels and looks everywhere. Great effort from HelloGames.

I'm tempted to give this a go the online aspect is interesting.

This thread is not only a duplicate topic, it's also based on a fanboy assumption that no Sony fans would make a thread about this since it's not exclusive to PS4 (it never was BTW) any more. We know this is FALSE proven by the first reply!

BOTH are lockable offences and against TOS.
