Nintendo wins. (stream, G4tv) - SWM @ E3 2011

Not interested in the controller screen. Seems uncomfortable & bulky. Graphics don't look any better than 360/PS3. Multiplats will all be on PS3/360, both of which have better online components to date as well as achievement/trophy support. I saw Assassins Creed mentioned, & I'm paranoid that their interest in the new console may be detrimental to future installments on the 360/PS3...

...But I'll be damned if I miss out on a possible HD Zelda game shown in that few seconds of footage.

What's the deal with the console? Did I miss something or did they not show it? This has got to be the absolute worst console introduction ever.

Okay so overall good conference. The 3DS lineup this fall is looking good, I can't wait for Mario Kart, Super Mario, and Kid Icarus. The Wii U (deargod I thought the vita was bad lol)is pretty interesting and good to see that it up there with the PS3/360. Too bad The Last Story wasn't there.:(

Also the whole "I can play on this while u watch tv" I dont care. Also did they just leave wii out in the cold?

alot of people seem confused. none of those trailers are from the wii U. ive seen them all before from ps3/360 trailers. if the wiiU releases in 2012 all those games would hav been out on other platforms for nearly a year-Y2J-

The tech demo they showed was nothing special at all. Are you telling me that a game on the system will show better graphics than a prescripted tech demo? tech demos are supposed to show the cutting edge of graphics.

Nintendo seems to have actual third party support now. but it looks all current gen.

Nintendo is leading by innovation, but through horsepower. For that we'll have to see what Sony or Microsoft does.

That being said, it's nice to see that Nintendo will be known for games besides it's first party established characters.

At launch it's graphics are on par with 360 and Ps3. I'm sure it has a lot more under it's tank.boredy-Mcbored

Yea and by the time this tank is tapped into, the PS4 and new Xbox will makes its visuals obsolete, once again. Nintendo is doing nothing but trying to profit of the casual market, just like the wii. I knew this "hardcore console with monsterous specs" was a path nintendo wasnt gonna take.

Well all else they showed for their new console is games that can also be played on the 360 or PS3. So yeah, you can't blame people for not being that impressed. :P

Honestly I doubt any of those games were taking full use of anything the wii u could do.. In fact I doubt those were even running ON wii u they just confirmed they were porting them.. or at least thats what it looked that

WiiU looks like a very disappointing console hardware wise. Decent software support though.

Disappointing conference. Hardly any announcements, and what they showed us for WiiU basically was that they were getting games that was already announced for the PS360. This conferenced did nothing for me.

2. They didn't show a New Console, just a New Controller but they're saying it's a New Console so Eh?
3. Console Announcement but not many games announced for it.
4. Although a lot of people seemed to have cheered when they said Arkham City and Ninja Gaiden 3 will be on the New Console.
5. Luigi's Mansion 2 was a pleasent surprise.
6. Kid Icarus Uprising acting out a lot like Kingdom Hearts was a bit odd lol.

8. Still no Xenoblade or Last Story Localization announcement. :(
9. Nintendo Dropped Support for Wii apparently.
10. Tekken on a Nintendo Console???? Never heard Such!

13. Man....Not a Whole lot of New Games in this Years E3....

These are the thoughts that are racing through my head.

Wii U = A beefed up controller for the Wii that can play multiplats. Grats sheep.

Overall it was good but they really didn't reveal much about the Wii U (dumb name but whatever). The support is looking good so far. Didn't think Nintedo would surprise me again.

I'd say they won but Sony is a close second. Either way not the best E3 overall unless like 2006 they reveal SSB later this week.

IF the system is more powerful than the 360, well then, I dont see how Nintendo lost. But yes, I a bit confused because I kept seeing a Wii plugged into the TV. Fuhgeddabouditt

They showed many good looking games for the 3DS.

Also Luigi's Mansion 2.

They announced a new console which allow them to finally get some multiplat games.(We haven't seen any actually footage. Just trailers from the 360/PS3 version of the multiplat games.) Also DAT ZELDA.

Ninty won for me. I just wish they showed some games for the Wii but whatever.

You guys are really funny...Its been confirmed already that the trailers were not running off of the WiiU. This is just a demo of the system can do, feature wise.

I totaly loved the conference. Good stuff.

couldn't the PS3 do this with the PS Vita?? Its the exact same things really a small touch pan screen that acts as a controller already.

Much respect to Nintendo, I believe they had a good conference, about on par with Sony's. WiiU is definitely interesting and I am glad a lot of 3rd party devs are taking a shine to it and supporting it with current gen releases. I knew the reports of Nintendo Cafe or Beam were exaggerated, it's not really a next gen system I mean it complements the Wii and 3DS as it can connect with them. Gotta love Nintendo's creativity. Now surely all gamers will be happy except those who expected Nintendo to have a new system to rival PC graphics, and to such gamers I say, come back to earth.
