I'm still having a hard time believing this, lol.

This is not the first time, as I recalled seeing a Super Mario Sunshine ad in the Japanese issue of Playboy.
lol and they say Nintendo is for kids? People like to forget about the love hotels or possible ties to the yakuza. Nintendo has been more OG than any other company since the beginning.
Added second link as well.
There's gotta be someone better than Pamela Horton at Playboy for the Cosplay, right..?

It's mostly because of Nintendo Of America that gives the image of Nintendo being kiddy while in Japan they don't.

Nope. All three branches (North America, Japan, Europe) are received about the freaking same.
How is Playboy even a thing since the invention of motion picture?
They have their own TV channel. They have a website with their own videos. Yeah...
They could have gotten a better model to do Bayonetta
I dunno looks pretty good to me.

Ties with the Yakusa? O_o

Yeah, but it was around the time with their old Hanafuda business. They haven't been with them since. Not really surprising once you consider that Disney had links to the Mafia.

But it's so softcore. I don't understand how they stay afloat, when proper porn exists, either ;)
Edit: Half the images in the gallery look downright silly.
Quite awkward if you ask me.
This one works but most of the Bayonetta effect is gone ;)
I assume this is'nt too hot for GS, since I did'nt have to consent to anything in order to view the images from Playboy's official site.
Excuse while i go and do some "research"........
I couldn't help but read that in Jiraiya's voice (when Naruto was good).
It was a good idea to do a promo for this game with playboy. Not too sure on the model though. I can't deny that she is pretty, but she seems a bit too short for this role compared to other bayo cosplayers I've seen. My eyes could be playing tricks on me or maybe the poses make it more obvious compared to other cosplayers but its definitely odd.

I will admit that using the word kiddy wasn't really the right word but still Nintendo of America would censor many games back then that use to contain mature themes such as alcohol, sexual themes, and other things that they see might not be appropriate or kids back then when it came to Nintendo's older consoles. They are not as bad as they use to be but even now they still do that sometimes just like they did with games such as that Fire Emblem DLC. When you compare NOA to NOJ they both have different rules when it comes to the themes in the games. Nintendo Of Europe to be honest I'm not really sure about them but I know that they don't censor as much as Nintendo Of America does.

Yeah, that's probably the best pic of the lot.

I don't see how the Bayonetta effect is gone, this scream Bayonetta, and yes, i'm agree this pic is great.

Not quite. Nintendo wasn't seen as a kiddie company in Japan until the Pokemon boom of the late 90's. Before that, the Famicom and Super Famicom were full of mature games in Japan, popular with kids and adults alike. The kiddie image of Nintendo mostly originates from NOA's policies of heavily censoring mature content or refusing to release mature games in North America (while NOE just didn't give a damn about Europe in general), and of course Sega capitalizing on that with a clever North American marketing campaign targeting older audiences and deriding Nintendo as a kiddie company.
