Beautiful tech demo, video would of been more enjoyable without the framerate issues.

wow....thats crazy.....deffinetly one of the best looking 2008 games....

even more impressive because the scale is so huge and the world is so dynamic.

Looks good. Very good textures and lighting like in the fist one.

well i'm not delusional - i just think the comparison was silly. my basic point was why compare something with a realistic dark setting to something with a fairy tale style with hyper-stylized game assets.

just makes little sense, about as much as comparing dr. mario to mgs4 :P

Just to clarify for those who might not realize it: the game wasn't having framerate issues. It looked to be an issue with the device being used to record the footage, or possibly an issue with the encoding software used.

.... Stalker was never about pushing graphics to the limit. It was about the atmosphere. The graphics are only a plus.

according to this, the DX10 stuff isn't even close to being completed. That would explain the inconsistancies within the framerate.

The framerate issue was the footage, not the actual game. If you notice, you will see that the entire footage freezes, not just the game being filmed.

Ok. I wasn't even paying that much attention to the video. It was too low quality. I just checked the screenshots.

My point still stands though, their DX10 isn't completed yet, so much so that they haven't even finalized what DX10 features they plan on using.

Love it, can't wait to get my hands on this new one ;)
