New halo 3 beta video (not leaked, bungie.net)

It looks damn awesome.  Not sure if its been posted, just noticed it on bungie.net and its not even a main news for some odd reason.

next gen graphics?

Gameplay wise it looks to be everything I wanted, but I am not one bit sold on the look of the game.  It looks like a hi res halo 2, if I am going to self own and buy another faulty 360 for this game Bungie better deliver in the graphics department.

P.S. Graphics=Gameplay, meaning both are important to me!

I was very unimpressed by the grass, I guess I will have to wait until the final product is out in order to truly judge it.smokeydabear076

So did I. Someone with red armor and a grey helmet on the snow level.

I liked this a lot. The game looks very nice, and it still looks incredibly fun to play. Also, the ease of creating videos with the Saved Films feature is pretty incredible, and should prove very useful for just about anybody.  

Visually i wasn't impressed at all.  However, the gameplay looks fun as hell.  The spartan laser is gonna kick ass!  It's sad that the auto-aim is still there, though. :(

Unreal 2004 for the PC may look better than a Ps3 game but not a 360 game , that's fer sure!

Im not sure, I noticed that one guys helmet was a diffrent colour.  I know they are supose to be adding a whole lot more customisation to your character.

Noticed that as well. Hopefully the customization engine is deep.

I thought it looked great as well. It wasn't in HD and it will be missing a lot of the graphical candy that the final game will have. Still look great. Looks like they will hit the in game vid graphics that was shown at E3 2006.

Yeah I think it looks good; I just think everyone for some reason is expecting it to be the best looking next gen game ever.  For the art direction they are going for I think it looks great and it looks really smooth.

IT does say Beta build and not to view as a final product in the end.  The game will be graphically upgraded, all they are doing right now is getting the gameplay down and then you will see the polish.  They are the best in the business so relax, Im sure the Graphics will be good enough.

open map games on x360 are not so great for some reason, i wonder why.

lol gonna be weird in FFA's cause everyones gonna be a variety of colours. Its cool they are allowing a lot of customisation though, will be intresting to see how much more you can change.

Oh and on a side note the bruteshot looks like its going to be a good gun to use this time around.

It is an early version, and the grass in Halo 3 is motion sensitive, can be blown about by gunfire and by explosions. It might even be some of the flora that is destructable.

Noticed that as well. Hopefully the customization engine is deep.
