Mass Effect Andromeda.
Dumb characters
stupid story
Ryder
lame new races
not having the best races /geth and quarian/
stupid phone game feature
stupid online
stupid resource features
broken
BUT!!!
I like the gameplay.

Never alone come to mind, but Jesus!!! these clunky controls ruined it among other technical problems!!!
But still I loved its cultural settings and mythology and duel playing it with my daughter. She loved it so much that we decided to buy the add on : fox-tales.
Star Wars The Force Unleashed 2:
Too short
Repetitive Level design
Rushed Storyline
it was buggy.(PC version)
The combat wasn't that baked.(Needed more improvements)
But
It had great atmosphere, graphics, cutscenes, had much less bugs compare to unleashed 1 and the combat was much better and faster.
True Crime New York City
Bad hand 2 hand combat
Funny car physics
Bad shooting mechanics
Bad port to the PC version
Low draw distance
And still buggy on PC
Slow and unrealistic animations
But
It had random crimes that made it's open world very good and there were different ways to solve them.(Either be a good cop or bad cop) you could also go into most of the buildings and reduce the crime rate by frisking people on the street(And if you wanted you could plant evidences for speeding it up)
Death By Degrees:
annoying use of right stick for attacks.
very long load times
bad camera
But
It had much better story than most of Tekken games, good mini games, X ray moves , great CG cutscenes , fortunately you can grapple enemies by using the L1 button(much better than right stick) and it was the only Tekken game rated Mature. Also Nina Williams was the main character.
Edit: Sorry I named 3.
I don’t buy a lot of games these days, so everything I get is generally well received.
I guess Quantam Break. Game ran like crap on my PC and was pretty short, but I was very engaged in the story/characters and thought the game was pretty fun. I’ll probably play through it again at some point, especially since it’s on Steam now.
No Man's Sky:
Cons:
Pros:
Metal Gear Survive
Dull environment
repetitive gameplay
huge learning curve
Maps reused from MGSV
BUT
Addictive as hell.
Lots of great base building and survival mechanics.
Online co-op is terrific.
Great endgame with two new bosses, lots of new gear and weapons to unlock.
The story fits into MGSV mythology and has a controversial ending to the entire franchise.
@Ant_17: Well for Mass Effect: Andromeda
Flaws:
- story issues
- mostly dull characters and dialog
- some really janky animations
Liked:
- combat
- world exploration
- online multiplayer
Too Human:
Flaws:
- lengthy death sequence
Liked:
- somewhat interesting story
- while the combat was largely repetitive I did enjoy it
Bionic Commando reboot:
Flaws:
- pretty mediocre story and main character
Liked:
- the bionic arm mechanics
Kingdom Come: Deliverance comes to mind.
We all know it has plenty bugs and hickups.
But to be fair I don't love it for a small reason. Well purely from a gamer's perspective I love it for a small reason: Your character actually feels like he does get better throughout the game and things are actually hard to do at first, unlike in most RPG's. But aside from that, I love it because it's the first of any media to allow me to vividly imagine what late medieval life (or life in any other time for that matter) must have been like. Of course it's not perfect. Especially if you look at the many weird Kickstarter promises they made, and the bugs, and the rickety quests... This game is not for everyone. And I know that but in my mind it's one of the most important games ever made because it is one of the first to treat their historical setting with care AND in first person with respectable graphics and sound.
It's a game that needs to be treasured and I hope many more games will follow that work out the kinks and/or are set in other interesting times and places.
Dissidia NT
Tedious grinding to unlock anything, bare bones gameplay, unable to customize bravery attacks, no content, story is useless and thrown together into something that doesn't even stick. Maps are either completely bare or littered with crap that gets in your way, also they are uninspired. Best music are the original tracks to unlock.
Buuuutt... I'm attached to all the characters and love seeing them interact with each other.
bioshock Infinite.
Sure it had a few problems but it’s one of my favorite games.
A resounding second. But I love Infinite for more than one small reason.
First games that came to mind: Everybody's Gone to the Rapture. Great story and soundtrack, but a chore and a half to play.
@davillain-: What, no hentai game? I though you would be a huge snob on that.
I'll just say that these Hentai makers aren't even trying anymore and for the most parts, they can get away easily so I kinda toss my snobs out the window.
Elex:
flaws:
-movement feels bad
-combat is poor
-overarching story is poor
-first 10 hours are spent running away from enemies
why I like it:
-great quest design
-great world
-meaningful character progression
-charm and fun characters
-JETPACK
Geist on the Gamecube:

You beat me to it. This game got absolutely slaughtered in reviews making me think twice about buying it though I love piranha bytes games.
Finished it the other day, utterly fantastic game. I love how you are completely useless for hours on end and have to work hard just so you don't get one shotted every time something looks at you. And yes all games (even sports games) should have a jetpack from now on!
Halo:MCC. Still takes forever to get into a multiplayer games sometimes. Team killing
Host being a sore loser and cuts games short because of losing. Just to name a few reasons.
Pretty much every Suda51 game
but
I love his style
Ooh that is such a good pick. Yes same for me.
The Simpsons Wrestling on the PS1.
It's technically a badly designed game, I can't deny that. But it combines two of my favorite things in The Simpsons and Professional Wrestling, and since I like those things so much, I can still enjoy this game despite it's bad game design.
Blinx
The controls aren't very good, but I love the presentation. I especially like how the characters speak a made up language, similarly to Panzer Dragoon, Gravity Rush, Klonoa, and Shadow of the Colossus.
prey.
in many aspects it plays like a cross between half life, bioshock, deus ex and dead space with a little bit of dishonored / thief thrown in for good measure. it's very typical of arkane in its a game that rewards creative thinking and management of powers with some great level design and attention to detail.
it's flawed by enemies that, whilst generally sinister and inventive, aren't all that fun to battle against, a lot of backtracking through areas, some pacing issues and (arguably) some slightly frustrating difficulty spikes
Monster Hunter World
Cons
Pro
The game can be fun and the weapon options are pretty good.
Max Payne 3
But...
It makes me feel like a badass. No shooter has been so much fun for me.
@ezekiel43: BTW I played Max Payne 3 again. You were right, this game could be played without being in cover.(And I'm having a blast playing it for the third time on old school difficulty)
Regarding the topic , What's your opinion about Last man standing mechanic ? Imo, it is a cheap and unnecessary feature that puts the player out of the action for few seconds.(They should have allowed players to remove it in any difficulty setting)

I think it's overpowered and should work more like in the multiplayer. You get shot a small number of times when you're down and you're dead.
Right now PUBG. Poor optimization for Xbox makes for juttery frame rates at times. The very beginning parachute sequence is awful. Still, the core gameplay is solid, and I keep hitting “start”, so it’s doing something right.
I'm going to go with GTA4. I can definitely understand a lot of the criticisms the game gets (clunky gunplay, less of the silliness of past games, ludonarrative dissonance). But I loved the realism and grittiness of it and thought the world felt a lot more 'alive' than the world in GTA5. There were some things I thought were better executed in 4 as well, like the hand to hand combat. Other GTAs might do certain things better but GTA4 will always be my favourite of the series.
I haven't played this game, but I think that Enter The Matrix is another example of these kinds of games.(I've heard that despite it's problems it has a great melee combat and storyline)
Spiderman Web Of Shadows is another one of these games: No Difficulty setting, Too easy , repetitive side missions that just give you experience points , Final parts of the storyline feels rushed , No free roam after finishing the game, It's aerial combat wasn't that great imo.
But it had a great setting, ability to change to normal/symbiote costume any time that you want , breakable environment , ground and wall combat were good, web swinging was great and Tony Stark's building was also in this game.
@Ant_17: I really liked the gameplay combat wise as well. They really nailed that in Andromeda.
Kane & Lynch, Shinobi PS2, Black, Zillion 2 Sega master system are all games like that for me.
Sonic Adventure 2 Battle
Cons-
While I don't mind the treasure hunting or shooting, they really can bring the game down
The camera
The boss battles
Chaos are pretty fun but even that can get boring and grind-y
Pros-
Rollin around at the speed of sound
The original Titan Quest on CD before I found mods to fix it, was still super fun.
Cons:
Your AOE spells and your buffs would not work properly
Pros:
Awesome duel character class system
