yeh i agree or maybe emerald weapon from FF7 there pretty close in terms of how hard they were
Emerald and Ruby were pretty easy once you figure out how their attacks work. All you have to do is prep up counters and get the Knights of the Round + Mime combo ready for ownage.
I believe the hardest boss I've ever dealt with were from side scrollers. Ikaruga pissed me off in so many ways yet I loved it.
On Ninja Gaiden Black (this is technically two bosses) one of the Missions had you fighting Nichae and Ishataros at the same time. It's next to impossible.Sparky04
Who were they again?
That's hard for me to pick out actually...
I guess I might say the last boss from Skies of Arcadia, just because there were so many parts to it.

um, there is no insane
i dont know if you were kidding or not but veteran is the hardest difficulty on the game
im not sure if it counts as a boss, but walking up the stairs in the ghostbusters video game is the HARDEST THING IN VIDEO GAME HISTORY!!!walkerctranger
Don't make me remember that!!! One hit and it's all over, restarting from the bottom.
i think Sephiroth from Kingdom Hearts was very hard. I could never beat him... His sword was so freaking long.Rikusaki
Nah Sephiroth was a punk but you just had to MEMORIZE his pattern and you could whip him up good.
Cod2? FF7!?!?
Great games, sure, but hardest bosses / parts ever? COME ON!
Are we forgetting how brutal some old NES games could be? Mike Tyson's Punch Out ANYONE?
What about Ninja Gaiden? That had some brutal bosses!
What about BATTLE TOADS? That one busted my balls.

Insane is a mode on Gears of War. :P Speaking of which, my hardest *moment* in gaming (at least recently) would have be the level "Burnt Rubber" on Gears on Insane mode. That's the level where you have to drive the big truck thing through the city, and you have to use the UV Turret to kiill the Kryll before they get to the truck. That sucks on insane mode. If you're not perfect you die fast.

but he does that perfect target lock thing and he strikes you down to 1 HP.

 I think I came to the relization when I was young that Battletoads was impossible to beat.

Yeah, you have to have last chance and lots of High potions. Don't waste magic on Curing, instead cast aeroga to deflect some attacks. It's difficult but once you have your strategy and such down it's no biggie.

I thought MP2 was pretty easy. I only got stuck on one boss the whole game. (Forgot which one though)dont know if you guys have played t hawk project 8, but getting to numero uno was hard as hell
i would have to say that the freebird solo on expert on gh2 is sort of a boss, and incredibly impossible...
(there are many other gh songs that dominate me as well)
six, pyschobilly, jordan, etc
