Modder fixes Elden Rings Idiotic Coop Mode

If anyone has played Fromsoft's previous games, and its latest edition, Elden RIng, youd know its coop system is one of the most stupid designs in gaming. Not only is Elden Ring limiting us to summon each other at certain spots, using limited resources, inside a limited space, it also tops off its stupidity by limiting you to three total during a play session. But all that ends now, the almighty modder LukeYui, as seen in the video above, has done what Fromsoft has failed to do for over 10 years.

In the video above, you see the player summon his best friend ( in the whole wide world ), right out the gate. And no matter how many times his buddy dies, he just respawns at zero resource cost. Even if you die, your buddy is right there waiting on you. Not only that, but his buddy can ride or die till the very end. Yes, thats right, not only can he help you defeat any boss in the game, he can also help you in any dungeon too. And those mean green dogs that give you so much trouble, well not any more. Our summoned bro can also bring his horse and ride off into the sunset with you. But wait, it gets even better. 4 player coop! With shared loot! With friendlyfire turned on or off! And shared progress! LukeYui, you the man!

I already beat this game twice on XSX but with this mod, im gonna buy two copies on PC. This mod is a game changer.

Mesome713, the game is not that hard. This is the easiest DS game I ever played/enjoy if you will. Hell, I even had to look up gameplay on YouTubes just to find the good stuff making my gaming life easy. This co-op can go jump off a cliff for all I care.

Honestly the normal co-op mode would be so much better if players could both summon horses by itself, that or just getting rid of the conditions that send players back to their respective worlds.

@davillain: O of course the game isnt that hard, but summoning a friend doesnt make it easier, it makes the boss harder. And NG+ will be so much more fun with this mod. Heck, well coop all the way to NG++++ using this mod.

Only useful if you want to play with your gf. If you need summons to get through the game, i don't know what to tell you lmao. Also, this will kill the pvp activity on pc🤦‍♂️

The coop is pretty shitty in this game and is mainly due to it being a hassle by design.

That does definitely sound like a nice quality of life improvement. Only ever tried the co-op in one part of the game myself though. That was on the Melania fight. 😅

@Archangel3371: I think tons of people needed a summon on that fight, that’s how Letmesoloher got so famous.

Having watched a bit of asmongold coop, its kinda insane how you have to resummon people after a boss, and if you want to enter a cave, the summon needs to leave and then get resummoned inside a cave. This is some archaic shit, especially for an open world game. They better start reworking their online in the next entry. What we currently have is what we had in 2009, and that's no OK.

@hardwenzen: They need to allow this mod on PS5 and XSX. Just think of how much longevity we can get out of this game. Fromsoft should start an official implementation of some of these mods.

That's cool and all, but the game is balanced for one player. Play the game with one or more friends might be fun for a while, but you'd just completely slaughter everything.

@Litchie: No, game is balanced for coop. Adding another player makes the game harder. Ever since Dark Souls, adding coop makes the game harder.

lol, no. Enemies get more health and I'm pretty sure that's it. Coop is still way the hell easier than solo, since enemies then switch between more targets, which makes it easier for you to deal damage and stay alive.
