Well if you think about it all games pretty much have used a subliminal way to implement drug usage in games. I mean whenever a virtua character gets super strong or regains energy by picking up a "potion" can be a representation of drug usage...

And Mario loves Shrooms, he's a drug addict.

I highly doubt that. Honestly, I can understand why he'd find the drug use disturbing, I find that disturbing too, but in today's world violence in games is the norm... unfortunately.

I won't call Shigeru Miyamoto kiddy. In fact, I've never referred to Nintendo, any of their systems, or any of their employees/fanbase as kiddy, and I never will. However, I will say that it's sad that a legendary game developer is objecting to content in a video game of this kind. We have enough smarmy politicians and Jack Thompson-types doing that. Games are meant to be escapist entertainment. The pioneer of modern video games should know this more than anybody.

Objecting to the drugs and violence in a game is no different than objecting to sex and violence in a game (God of War 1 + 2, anyone?). And maybe I was dreaming, but wasn't Manhunt 2 set to come out for the Wii? Oh, that's right, it doesnt have "drugs." And drugs are bad, mmmkay?

For gods sake Miyamoto its a mature sci-fi action game, bog off with your non-gamer garbage. I don't reccomend that he watches anything like Riddick or Resident Evil . I mean doesn't the main character fight against the corporation with their use of Nectar? Its anti-drugs if anything.
